Toyota 4 Runner park lights won't turn off

Turned lights off the other day and the front and rear park lights stayed on, can only turn off by removing fuse - relay that switches when switch turned on appears to work OK - removing relay lights stay on Have disconnected looms to rear of vehicle turns off rear lamps, have removed fuse holder and checked behind for shorts - Ok

Return the direction indicator stalk to the central rest position to cancel the parking lights.

SOURCE: blower motor does not work

I had the same problem, replace, replace, replace. Check, check and recheck. What I found was the blower motor resistor, located in the blower squirrel cage area, two prongs and a curly wire, was bad. Took the new one back, (it ohmed out okay, continuity ok, all ok!) replaced it with another, and Bingo, problem solved. Frustrating to say the least. After two relays and a blower switch, and test, test and retest. It was a faulty resistor. Made in Mexico. And no guarentee, even though new, it works. Trial and error. Even the dealer parts are Honcho en Mexico. Thanks NAFTA. You gonna make us all welfare babies.

Park, Tail, Marker, and License Lamps
The PARK/LAMP fuse in the instrument panel (I/P) fuse block supplies battery positive voltage to both the coil and switch sides of the PRK LAMP relay, also located in the I/P fuse block. When the headlamp switch is placed in either the PARK or HEAD position, ground is supplied to the BCM on the park lamp switch ON signal circuit. The BCM then applies a ground to the park lamp relay control circuit. This energizes the relay, applying voltage to all park, tail, marker, and license lamps. The park, tail, marker, and license lamps are also turned ON when the headlamps are commanded ON by the BCM for low light operation.
Ground for the headlamp switch is from G200. Grounds for the various lamps are as follows:
• G100 supplies the right front lamps
• G101 supplies the left front lamps
• G400 supplies the right rear lamps
• G401 supplies the left rear lamps

Getting the parking lights working on 2007 g6 gt


2007 g6 gt ????? Pontiac ? The headlamp switch is a input to the BCM - body control module , the BCM turn's the park / headlamps on .

The PARK LPS fuse in the underhood fuse block, supplies battery positive voltage to both the park lamp relay switch contacts and park lamp relay coil circuit. The park lamp relay coil is controlled by the body control module (BCM). When the headlamp switch is placed in the PARK position, the BCM will then energize the park lamp relay coil control circuit. Current flow is now from the park lamp relay to the park/tail lamps. The front park lamps are grounded at G100 and G101. The rear park lamps are grounded at G401 and G402. The license plate lamps are a part of the rear park lamp circuit and are grounded at G401. The inadvertent power control feature prevents the park lights from remaining on more than 10 minutes if left on. If the park lights are turned on after the ignition switch has been turned OFF, or is in the ACCY position, they will remain on until turned off or the battery runs dead.

What fuse is good ? Did you check fuse in rear fuse box ? Also did you check park lamp relay .

Park, Tail, Marker and License Lamps
The park, tail, license, and marker lamps are turned ON when the headlamp switch is placed in either the HEAD or PARK lamp positions, or anytime the automatic light control (ALC) turns the headlamps ON. When the headlamp switch is placed in the park lamp or headlamp positions, ground from G202 is applied through the signal circuit to the BCM indicating the park lamp request. In response to this signal, the BCM applies ground through the park lamp relay control circuit energizing the PARK LP PCB Relay. With the relay energized, battery voltage is applied through the switch side of the relay, both park lamp fuses, and the supply voltage circuits illuminating the park, tail marker, and license lamps. Ground for the left front park and marker lamps is provided at G101 and the right front park and marker lamps at G100. Ground for all rear lamps is provided at G302.
Turn Signal Lamps
The LT T/SIG and RT T/SIG fuses located in the underhood fuse block supplies battery positive voltage to the body control module (BCM) for turn signal and hazard lamp operation. When the turn signal switch is place in either the LEFT or RIGHT position, ground from G202 is applied through the turn signal switch signal circuit to the BCM indicating the turn signal request. In response to this signal, the BCM applies a pulsating voltage to the front and rear turn signal lamps supply voltage circuits cycling the lamps ON and OFF. The BCM also sends a message via GMLAN to the instrument panel cluster (IPC) to cycle the turn signal indicator ON and OFF depending on the position of the turn signal switch.
Ground for the turn signal lamps is supplied as follows:

I have a 2007 Chevy HHR..the tail light don't work the bulbs workI have turn signals and brake lights..no owners manual in car. check fuses can't locate the fuse for tail light is there another place


Your talking about the rear park lamps, but, do the front park lamps work?
Note the picture.
Underhood fuse box, 68 is park lamp relay, 69 is park lamp fuse.

The RT I/P #1 fuse in the RH I/P fuse block supplies battery positive voltage to both the park lamp relay switch contacts and to the park lamp relay coil circuit. The park lamp relay coil is controlled by the body control module (BCM). When the headlamp switch is placed in the PARK position, the BCM energizes the park lamp relay coil control circuit.
Current flows from the park lamp relay switch to both front and rear park lamp fuses and to their respective park/tail lamps. The front park lamps are grounded at G101. The rear park lamps are grounded at G302. The license plate lamps are a part of the rear park lamp circuit and are grounded at G302. The inadvertent power control feature prevents the park lamps from remaining on more than 10 minutes if left on. If the park lamps are turned on after the ignition switch has been turned OFF, or is in the ACCY position, they will remain on until turned off or until the battery runs dead.

Did you the REAR PARK LP fuse 15 amp in the right insturment panel fuse box.

Did you check the switch on top of the steering column? It will turn on your parking lamps separately from the headlamp switch, and it is in the customary position for a hazard flasher switch on Japanese cars - maybe someone bumped it by accident or turned it on when trying to get the 4-way flashers to work.

Did you check fuse circuit for voltage? Use a test light with headlamp switch on to check for voltage. See the park lamp relay, I'm not saying the relay is faulty, but, you might be able to use jumper wire on load side of relay, if lamps work, the problem is on control side of relay, for some reason.
The load side of relay is that line with arrowhead. There could be other issues.
