Locate the OBD port in the driver-side foot well of the 2000 VW Jetta. The OBD port is to the left of the fuse panel. There is only one port large enough to accept the pinned connector of the OBD scan tool.

How to read obd code suzuki aerio

There should be two OBD ports on this vehicle, one under the steering wheel the other is located by the computer unit under the hood. Attach an OBD reader or OBD II Reader (available to be borrowed from most car part stores) and read the code.

Will an obd II reader come out with codes for problems even if the check engine light isn't on?

I think you have a defective fuel pump pressure check valve here. If you don't have a check engine light on you will not have any codes.

I have a 87 two door cutlass with a check engine light that turns on and off. Is there a OBD port in that car for a reader to be conected to trouble shoot the problem

This takes a special scanner called an OBD1 scan tool, so the free tests can't be done, they are for OBD2. The diagnostic port in under the dash. You can do a manual test with a paper clip shorting bar and watching the check engine light flash out the code. Just google that.

The "Check Engine Light" could be something major, or something as minor as a loose
gasoline filler cap. The only way to know is to find someone who can attach an OBD-II code reader
to your car's ODB-II computer port and talk to your car's on-board computer, and ask it what it thinks
is wrong.
Also, the "Yellow light with the triangle that has an exclamation mark in the middle and a circle going around" could be the SES light (Service Engine Soon), which could mean that everything is fine with the car, except the SES light needed to be reset at the 3400Km oil change, but it wasn't.
In the U.S., Pep Boys and Advance Auto Parts are national parts store chains that will read the ODB-II codes setting your "Check Engine" light free - don't know who will do this free in Canada/U.K., though.

How do u read the retrieval codes for a 93 chevy blazer s10?

If your talking about the Check engine light. You will need a CHEVROLET OBD I code reader. the auto makers used their own style of ports and language until OBD II in 1996. The code reader can be purchased at most auto parts stores and it isn't very expensive.

Code 1529keep coming up no drveable problems

If the code you are mentioning is p1529 then it is generated by Transmission control module(TCM) to the trigger the check engine light . You have to check the code of your OBD port by using an scan tool that would give you the exact error codes from which the faulty part can be identified.

Check engine light will be triggered in case of any fault in any part in the car.Even a loose gas cap will trigger the check engine light. So having it scanned with an code reader connected to OBD port will help you to identify the exact fault.

Does the code reader power up? If not, check the fuses. OBD II ports supply power to the code reader. Typically GM uses the cigarette lighter fuse to power the OBD II port on their vehicles (could share a fuse with somthing else, but I doubt it). Good luck!
