Question about 2001 Mercury Cougar
Engine: 2.5L FWD DOHC When I accelerate or let off the gas, it wants to pull to the right. When I apply the brakes it pulls to the left hard as if something is grabbing the wheel and wont let go of it. While it pulls to the left when on brakes, if you let the steering wheel go it will make a complete turn for you, that's how hard it is pulling it. Also sometimes when you hit a bump it pulls also. I know what an alignment pull is and this is not that. This kind of pull just happens randomly when brakes are applied and it is very hard to steer and drive it because it pulls you hard enough to **** you into another lane.
Could be air in system and right side not applying brakes. Also the internal rubber in brake line where solid metal line attaches to can deteriorate and form a blockage for brake fluid to not reach caliper on right side.

this is something that, after all youve done will really **** you off if it works.........try changeing wheels/tyres front to rear.OR as the car leans over to the left when turning right, you put pressure on the left side, could it be the right shocker gone......?(push down hard then release,it should bounce up then down and then up/stop.this,if it works, costs nothing....... yet.
