2008 Suzuki XL7, Service Stability Control, Service Traction Control, Brake dashboard lights on

2008 Suzuki XL7, Service Stability Control, Service Traction Control, Brake dashboard lights come on. I have it checked out 3 times. Noone finds the problem, they reset the light and after about a month the lights come on again. The car is also starting to threaten to stall out when stopped or when accelerating. Getting a little jerky/ Any ideas?

Mechanic scoped wheel and abs sensors, no codes showed. Flushed brake and abs systems and lights went off. Will do a tune up if rough ride continues. He could not replicate the roughness problem while driving it. Mileage just ovr 75,000.

SOURCE: Check Engine light reset on 2004 Suzuki Verona

You can disconnect the negative cable of the battery for a couple of minutes (but you will lose radio settings and possibly others that the car will relearn), or you can go to an auto parts store such as Advance Auto or Pep Boys and they have a free scanner service to diagnose problems that should be able to reset the light. Mine does.

SOURCE: traction control light on and

check the wheel speed sensors. if there is dirt or anything else on the pickup sensor it will not work right. if you can get your hand on an abs scanner it will be much easier to narrow down the problem. if the wheel speed sensors are the sealed type installed in the bearing dirt will not be an issue but check all connections for loose fit or corosion.

I have a 2008 Saturn outlook with 2w drive. I recently drove in wet weather a my Stabil Trak and traction control indicators

When the Stabilitrak and Traction Control indicators come on and stay illuminated in your 2008 Saturn Outlook, it typically indicates a problem with the vehicle's stability control system. This system helps maintain control and stability during adverse driving conditions, such as wet or slippery roads. There are several potential causes for these warning lights, and it's essential to address the issue promptly to ensure your vehicle's safety and performance. Here are some common reasons for the warning lights to stay on:
  1. Wheel Speed Sensor Issues: The Stabilitrak and Traction Control systems rely on information from wheel speed sensors to determine if a wheel is slipping or losing traction. If one of these sensors is malfunctioning or dirty, it can trigger the warning lights.
  2. Faulty ABS Module: The Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) module is closely related to the stability control system. If there is a problem with the ABS module, it can affect the functionality of Stabilitrak and Traction Control.
  3. Damaged Wiring: Damage to the wiring that connects the wheel speed sensors to the control module can disrupt the communication and trigger the warning lights.
  4. Malfunctioning Control Module: The control module responsible for the stability control system can develop faults or errors over time.
  5. Brake System Issues: Problems with the vehicle's braking system, including worn brake pads, can sometimes lead to issues with the Stabilitrak system.
  6. Faulty Steering Angle Sensor: The steering angle sensor is part of the stability control system. A malfunction in this sensor can lead to warning lights.
  7. Low Fluid Levels: Low brake fluid levels can trigger the warning lights, as the stability control system may interpret it as a potential issue with the braking system.
To diagnose and address the problem, you should take your Saturn Outlook to a qualified mechanic or a dealership. They can perform a diagnostic scan using specialized equipment to pinpoint the exact issue that is causing the warning lights to stay on. Once the problem is identified, they can recommend the necessary repairs or replacements.
It's important not to ignore these warning lights, as the stability control system is designed to enhance vehicle safety and performance, particularly in adverse driving conditions. Addressing the issue promptly will help ensure the continued safe operation of your vehicle.

2: Lost compression in one or more cylinders, 150PSI min.
3: lost spark (5 minute test ,with a tests sparkplug.
3: bad fueling, too much or too little.

ABS/ Traction control light/BAS & brake light on in 2008 dodge grand caravan

It is safe to drive. You need a scan tool to get a code out of it. Could be as simple as a wheel speed sensor going bad. All of these lights will work together normally. The traction control uses the ABS to gain traction, and the Brake Assist System is part of the stability control. Also uses the ABS.

I am noticing a flashing light on my dashboard. The item flashing is a car with lines coming from behind the car. it is beside d seat belt icon. What does it mean, and how can I fix it?

the symbol with a car and 2 curved lines behind means:
"Slip control" or "Stability control" (also known as ESC, ESP, ASR or DTC) warning.
Toyota Trac Inop Light Toyota's traction control helps you maintain traction on wet, icey, loose or uneven surfaces. There are complex wheel speed sensors that will trigger the traction control safety feature as needed. If you see the trac inop light illuminate, this feature might be disabled. A Toyota service rep can access the trouble code and identify what is needed to fix any potential issues. - See more at: http://jeffwylerclarksvilletoyota.com/section/secondary/toyota-dashboard-indicators#.dpuf
