X Type 54 reg 12k miles just had clean mot but notice bad tyre ware outer edge of front wheels. Fitters checked the alignmenr report said they're ok but I'm very concered becouse while the car drives well at normal speed it feals like I'm driving on the rims when I drive slowly on full lock.
Hi! You may want to have Tow in or out on the wheels? Tracking only shows the wheels in line, so if the top of the wheel is leaning in/out it will squeel or screetch on slow cornering.
Another reason is low tyre pressure so more investigation will be required.
Finally? Do you know the full history of the vehicle? has it possibly been abused or involved in an inicident?

This seems to be a fairly common problem with FWD vehicles recently.
Check the tyre pressures are at their top limit, then see if they seem to spread more than other peoples seem to in contact with the ground.
If they look ok, then have your tracking checked for alignment at a garage offering this.
If they still look bulgy at the base, then try to even out the wear by rotating tyres front to back, then bac to fron - but reverse them on the rims if possible.
Many times - it's the manufacture of the tyre at fault - try changing manufacturer next time - some just wear like that.
