If you intend to keep the vehicle long term, I would suggest you invest in a Haynes Manual, That is worth its weight in gold, for this and any other project..

Tilt-Wheel...proper use !

Most vehicles today come with many added luxuries and accommodation's , a few of which i might add can cause severe issues such as the tilt steering column .
over time and use they are taken for granted and i can assure you the tilt steering is one of my most ventured of all issues as it controls the 4 ways the turn signals the headlights the cruise control the windshield wipers , included issues related to the brake lights as well most every thing power to this above mentioned and explained .
even though its an added luxury and should under any and all circumstances preform without issues , it without doubt will over the use and continued use of this feature breakdown ...my suggestion is use it sparingly and with actually holding the wheel while allowing it up or down to the proper fit of the driver , many drivers i have seen simply hit the lever and let it fly full speed into the 'let me outta here" position by flipping the lever allowing the wheel to at full force go into the upward position , and without regard to the bending of the wires within the column as well as the same way with jump in grab the lever and pull it into position ( Remember these wires are very, very Thin Extremely Thin )...I can " Guarantee " you within 1 year or less of using the tilt feature in this manor will result in Inoperable function to 1 or more or all of my above mentioned functions .

My suggestion for the proper use is slowly and with ease lower or raise your tilt wheel into position and i give it a much lesser breakdown status than would be in any other form of use .

I need the part number for a 1990 lebaron convertible turn signal -all the ones i see have turn, hi beam and winshield -mine is a four way toggle with turnsig and hi beam only?

This may be confusing, but here goes.
If the car is a true 1990 it should have a combo switch that handles the turn signals, hazard, and wipers. Sometimes the dimmer switch is included and sometimes it is a separate switch.
it makes a difference if you have tilt steering wheel or not.
Its also possible you have an early model with a 1989 column setup which would just be a turn signal switch with the pivot for the rod going to the dimmer switch. The headlight and wiper switchs would be on the dash.

I need to know how to replace my turn signal switch on my steering wheel my windshield washer turner broke off so either I need to know how to fix the windshield washer switch or just replace the whole...

The turn signal switch or in Ford terms "multi-function" switch is easy to replace if you are mechanically inclined. Lower the steering column "tilt" adjustment for easier access. Remove the lower panel (below the steering column). Remove the three screws from the plastic column covers that surround the multi-function switch. Turn the key to the run position, then from the bottom side of the column, use a very small pocket screwdriver, allen wrench or similiar tool to push up on the ignition cylinder release pin. The hole is located just below the cylinder. With the pin pushed, pull out on the key and cylinder. Next seperate the two cover halves and you will see the complete multi-function switch. remove the two attaching screws, remove the electrical connectors and replace the switch. Replace all removed components and you're done! You can purchase the switch at most auto parts stores, ford dealers or ebay. Feel free to ask if more information is needed and I appreciate a vote of four thumbs up. Good luck!

On a 1986 jeep I believe it has a "wiper-turn-signal assembly" that is all part of the turn signal lever. (I think its a GM/Chevy style.) The new models have an assembly that's in the steering column behind the steering wheel. If I'm correct that its all part of the lever, that is almost definitely the problem - 98-99%. Pretty much the same answer for the newer versions also. I have replaced over a couple hundred in my "career". Keep smiling.

I have a 1973 Camaro with the factory tilt steering column and it's starting to get loose. What does it take to fix this? Are there any part breakdown diagrams?

if you can, pull steering wheel, steering lock wheel(spring compressor needed, from auto parts store, free) pull signal switch (three screws) out far enogh to see tilt mechinizm, there are three black bolts to be tightened, if you wiggle the tilt column you should see them loose, a small socket will fit star shaped bolt heads
