2004 toyoat camry Engine Maint. light

When you say Maint light stays on , if you mean oil pressure light etc then it could be either oil light switch or wire has come off or fuse or the wrong grade of oil if only comes on when hot.
So check on the maint list to see what should be done and then recheck what was done .

It's probably your regular scheduled maintenance (oil change) light. Here's how you can reset that:

1. Turn the key to "on" so the electrical system is fired up (but engine is not running)

2. Set trip planner to "A" trip.

3. Turn key off (no electrical)

4. Hold down trip button, then turn key to "on" so the electrical system is fired up (but engine is not running).

5. "Maint Req" light will blink several times and then go off.

Maintenance required light is a reminder to change the oil. if you have had the oil changed within the last 3000 miles its likley the people that did the oil change didnt reset the light, if im not mistaken, to reset that light turn the car to the key on engine off position and hold the odometer button down until the light blinks and goes away

The 'Maint Reqd' light indicates that you are due for an oil change. It will blink 4,500 miles since the light was reset at your last oil change, and stay on steady after 5,000 miles.

If you recently had an oil change, all you need to do is reset your maintenance reqd lamp. The procedure is here on this site inthe 'tips and tricks' section, and it is also in your owner's manual.

THIS IS A MAINT LIGHT IT COMES ON FOR TWO REASONS 1 IS MILEAGE AND THAT IS MOST COMMON 2 SOME VEH SHOW THAT LIGHT WHEN OIL CHANGE IS ALITTLE BEHIND. SHOULD BE CHECKED AT NORMAL OIL CHANGE. That is for oil changes. It come on when the oil change is due.
When you have your oil change done, the lube tech should reset the this light every time.

most likely requires a service make sure engine oil/air/fuel filters are changed when beeing serviced check charging rate,aux belts etc reset light

Hi: Its the Maint light. That's what it says - maint and it is amber in color. I'm the original owner and the car has had its regular scheduled maint since new.
