I put key in, went to store and turned car off but key wont click all way to come out. drove it home and same problem It wont turn rest of way to come out
I had a similiar problem twice with a dodge caravan 2004. I can't tell you why, but hyundai service should give you that info even if you didn't buy it there. they supposedly stand behind their product.
In my case, the answer was as little as depressing the brake, changing gears, or lifting up a small button that was inadvertently depressed: I forget. Havn't had a problem since, so I assume our car guy took it to the dealer?

I belive all you have to do is put the key in the ignition and turn it counter clockwise. Hopefully that works for you.

factory fitted alarm?? no way its done through the ECU and shuts down the spark via the processor and try finding a wiring diagram??

Sounds like it might be either the fuel filter or the fuel pump, cause if you ran the tank down, you probably had sludge in the bottom of the tank that you sucked into the engine, you can try using a fuel system cleaner, you may have sucked sludge into the injectors running it, Zmax sells a fuel system cleaner, or there is one called RUN RIGHT, I would try putting some of that in letting it sit a few min then after it sat a few to soak in and break down the sludge, then start the car up, kick your idle up to around 1500 RPM do not go higher then that cause you will damage the engine, try that and see if that works for you, if not then I is probably the fuel pump or filter.
hope this helps.

There is NO possible electrical cause (within REASON) which would create the problem you describe. I assume you tried the Keyless Entry Remote to DIS-ARM the anti-theft system. If the ALARM system was activated, it will stay activated until it's de-activated by the remote (typical design feature). The best SOLUTION is to take vehicle into Hyundai an have the problem diagnosed.

If you have not found the problem yet, check the transmission interlock. Sounds like the shifter interlock switch may not be engaging to allow the starter to activate!
