Take the vehicle to a qualified repair shop an have the EVAP system smoke tested , this will find the leak . Too many thing's that could cause your problem . You don't want to keep replacing parts do you ? Could be a stuck open purge solenoid , a leak in one of the vapor lines , the part the gas cap screws into, vent valve stuck open . Service engine light on ? have checked for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes . You'll probably fine a evap code for a large leak.

HI....
You don't have to worry about P0411. But you need to fix.
because the vehicle will burn more gas...
Let me Explain a little bit. of the SECONDARY AIR INJECTION SYSTEM.
Your vehicle use a Vaccum Electric pump. to reduce the HYDROCARBOM EMISSION , During a Cold start the System forces filtered fresh air into the exhaust stream in order to accelerate the catalystic operation.
The IAr is send to the exhaust passing from a check valve.
The code P 0411 , Can be a restriction on the hose coming from the Air pump to a Exhaust. or The hose damaged or pinched.
But the first step is check the operarion of the pump.
Check the Air pump relay. and fuse.

The pump Is located on Left Front Frame Rail, Forward of Fenderwell.

P1660. This code refer to a : Excessive Current or Voltage ON the system.
Check The ALTERNATOR for proper Voltage charging.
If the Alternator is charged more than 16v. replace the alternator.
Remember if you gave a Jump Cables of any time or day.

Any of this will the code P1660 come..
The ECM can BURN. For HIGH VOLTAGE, BE CAREFUL
After you check the Charging system. And detect that everything is in order, Clear the light.

PRINT THIS COMMENT and give to your mechanic....

I hope this will help on your problem.

THANK YOU FOR USE FIXYA>>

SOURCE: check engine light came on along with check gas cap

Did u have engine codes scanned? If not, have it done, as it may indicate the problem. Let me know. (most parts stores will scan for codes free) .

SOURCE: I have two problems with my 05 Grand Prix. (Misfire & Evap Leak)

Hello! There is a device called a purge valve; located in the back/right of the engine compartment next to the throttle body. The original fault was a "mass evap. leak code. Changing the gas cap was the correct, least expensive move. The purge valve is the likely culprit. If the catalytic converter was at fault a code indicating; Cat., or O2 sensors would have been set. If the valve can not open to purge the vapor pressure will give the faults you are seeing. Also if valve remains open auto will not run right anyway. Evaporator problems are unrelated to converter trouble. I suggest you replace the purge valve. There is also a vent valve located back by the gas tank; It is a part of this very complex system. Give that valve a good visual inspection (broken or worn wires/connectors or loose hose) before you purchase the purge valve.

2009 crv check fuel cap

Go to the parts store where you bought the cap. Sometimes the code clears on it's own and sometimes you need to have it reset. If this is not an option disconnect the negative battery cable for a minute. Just as a warning, if you disconnect the battery you will have to reprogram most all of your electronics.

Code p0441 changed gas cap light came back on a week later. same code what else can it be no visible problem other than using more gas

That is an evaporation code and it usually means you need to change your gas cap, but since you already did that try cleaning the part that the gas cap screws on to. sometimes a little rust or other build up can keep the cap from making a proper seal. However, I must warn you I once spent all day trying to figure out one of these codes and never did get it figured out. The car ran fine for years after but that code never did go away. So if you can not get that code figured out don't worry. I don't think you are in any danger of having your car die on you in the near future. I hope this helps you out and good luck.

Hi have a pontiac G6 GT 2005 I have a message that comes on saying check gas cap the 1st time it happened it was under warranty and the dealership replaced the gas cap for me, a year later the same thing...

The fuel cap needs to be tight or it will set a code. It's a pressurized fuel system. Try to tighten snug the code should clear itself. If this does'nt work exchage the fuel cap, it may not be working properly.

My check fuel cap light came on the other day after having been at the gas station. I later tightened the cap & the light remained on. Now several days later the check engine light has come on too,...

Ok,you could have a bad fuel cap or o-ring on the cap. could be you just didn't quite get the cap on good enough the last time you got gas so in turn the light comes on. unfortunately these things are so sensitive that the light doesn't go out even though you have tried taking it off and putting it back on. My advise is, check out your local auto parts stores. such as Autozone, or Advance. Most auto parts stores anymore will hook up a small scanner to your car and can tell you what the problem may be. not as good as a dealers repair shop could tell you,but should be able to let you know if it is nothing serious or could be. if it is something serious then you would of course have to see mechanical help. and if its nothing serious, like the only thing showing up is gas cap not on good, they can clear out the code and your light will go off and your good to go.if it turns out that's all it was and the code is cleared, and it keeps coming on, you could have a more serious problem and should have a qualified mechanic check it out. if you don't have an Autozone or Advance near you, just check your local auto parts stores and see if they offer the service of checking your vehicle when lights like this come on. and it should be a FREE service. Autozone and Advance is and most should be. i know this is long, but i hope it helps.
