You probably sheared the power steering pump shaft. The same thing happened to my 01 GMC 2500HD, no leaking from the pump or any hoses; but no power brakes or steering. I just replaced the pump and re-seated it in the old reservoir for 40 bucks but looking back I would have just spent 50-60 on a pump that came with the reservoir allready attached because now I have a annoying slow leak. Good luck.
Hello, It sounds like your hydra-boost has gone out. The hydra-boost is under the hood on the drivers side firewall. Diesel engines don't have manifold vacuum so the power steering pump supplies pressure to the brakes. You can purchase rebuilt units for about half of what a new one costs.
First check the break oil level.

It HAS to be a linkable fuse problem since the pressure sending unit is mechanical in nature usually. Take a CLOSE look at all linkable fuses that could be related to both systems. Look at the fuse box under the hood and under the dash if applicable. This should help.
