You will have to remove the wheel, brake caliper and rotor and remove the studs. Then you will need to install new studs for which you will need a stud installer tool or you can use a lug nut and washers to pull stud through the hub. the stripped out studs can be removed with a hammer. make sure you have the clearance in the back of hub before pounding on them.

2005 Honda spare tire hoist cable lowers but tire doesn't. I'm thinking of removing the hoist to fix it or replace it. It appears that a metal plate between the top of the tire and mechanism is...

My experience is that the tire (being rubber) can stick to the underside of the vehicle. Try prying the tire with a piece of wood or broom handle to release it. Be careful as it may fall. Loosen the cable slightly to catch the spare and not fully drop. Good luck.

Waterpump stripped bolt

Use vice grips or you can take a smaller 8 point socket and pound it on the bolt. First give it a little more torque to tighten it. It will break the rust. Then it should loosen fine. Don't re-use the bolt.

How do you change a 2000 ford contour tire

Instructions

1 Park the car on a level surface. Turn the engine off. Open the hood and disconnect the negative terminal from the battery cable.

2 Loosen the lug nuts on the driver's side tire. Jack the car up till the tire has left the ground, and you can get a jack stand underneath to support the For Contour's weight. Lower the car onto the jack stand and remove the jack. Remove the tire.

3 With a socket wrench, remove the four bolts in the wheel well that hold the mud flap and the flap that protects the radiator from road debris.

4 Loosen the belt tensioner bolt by reaching in from the top of the engine with a socket or box wrench. This bolt is usually found in the engine block, holding a spacer bar to the alternator; consult your manual for the location in your specific year of Ford Contour, as they vary. Remove the belt from the pulley.

5 Pull the cotter pin from the ball joint stud where it connects to the wheel knuckle in the wheel well. Using a box wrench, loosen, but do not remove the nut on the stud.

6 Attach the Tie Rod End Puller to the tie rod by placing the tie rod end in the channel on the top of the steel grip of the puller, and twist the screw clockwise until the tie rod comes free. Separate the tie rod from the wheel knuckle.

7 Remove the nut on the ball joint stud that you loosened in Step
5.

8 Draw, mark or photograph the way that the wires connect to the alternator and then disconnect the wires.

9 Loosen and remove the three bolts holding the alternator in place. There will be one at the top, one at the bottom and one in the rear holding the alternator in a bracket attached to the car frame. Withdraw the alternator through the wheel well.

10 Installation is the reverse of removal. Remember to use a new cotter pin at the nut on the ball joint stud.

Thanks

How do i adjust/fix play in steering

There is a 'dampener' on the steering box- it is a nut that surrounds a bolt (I think it has a allen head)-loosen the surround bolt and tighten the bolt, it dampens the recirculating ball in the steering box. Other than that, steering linkage parts and proper tire alignment are the only other factors that determine 'play' or lack thereof-the steering box can also have slop in it that might require either a rebuild or replacement.

How do i release the spare tire on my 2005 Kia Sedona

Hi, the spare tire is stored on the underside of the vehicle, under the right-side cargo door. The bolt is located in a recessed area that is protected by a small square plastic covering. To remove the spare tire, find and remove the bolt cover, then use your lug nut wrench to loosen the bolt holding the tire.
Remove the spare tire fastener's plastic cover, place the lug nut wrench onto the lug nut holding the tire onto the bolt, turn the wrench in a counter-clockwise direction until the tire is released and reaches the ground.

How do you remove the battery from a 1992 corvette

Access is by removal of the exterior side panel. There are two 10mm bolts on top and bottom of the panel, the top needs to be removed, the bottom just loosened. There are 3 Torx screws inside the wheel well, difficult to remove with the tire in place unless you turn the steering to a stop, or use a Torx bit in a wrench. Bolt securing the battery on its base facing the driver seat needs to be removed.

My front driver side tire blew out the lug nuts and the tire shout out. I need to replace the fender and studs. Could you tell me how to replace the fender?

The fender is bolted to the frame on the top, front, bottom and also at the rear, by the door. Just loosen all the bolts holding it on, pull it off and put the new one back on with all the same bolts. Also, the top bolts on the fender are hex type bolt heads.
