First of all I would make sure the car has proper amount of coolant and you are right it is very possible you have an air pocket in the system also ask your self did you change the thermastat after you did the heater core when the car is cold make sure there is coolant at the cold mark on the reservior bottle because you might not have enough coolant then start the car and get it up to temp and if the coolant goes not go up to the hot mark when the car gets to temp you do not have enought coolant just keep adding coolant and you will see the bubble after the thermastat opens

2000 ford expedition no front heat, back heat work fine. I went through the glove box and into the side of the heater box, the blend door works fine. Any ideals?

if blend door works blower working check make sure you have enough coolant because suvs holds right much antifreeze.heater not working heater core plugged make sure both heater core hoses hot to touch if so problem could be temperature mode switch.

I have a leak on the front heater core. I waned

One hose takes the fluid into the core and one takes it out. Find them, disconnect them from the core and splice them together and the core is by-passed.

Front heat works, but rear blows cold air only

With your front heat working the most likely cause for the rear heat not to work is that there is an obstruction in the line that is preventing the warm coolant to get to the rear heater core or the rear heater core itself is plugged and not circulating. Another possible cause could be low coolant level where the system has enough coolant to provide the front system with enought warm coolant but not the rear system. Hope this helps

Rear heater not getting hot after by-passing front heater core which is leaking.

Hi:
Your vehicle only has one set of connections to the heating system, and you disconnected them when you bypassed the heater core. There is not a seperate heater core for the rear heat, just ducts off of the front heat.

1997 ford expedition 4x4 leaks coolent above transmission.

Check the connection at the left rear of the intake manifold. The thermostat is located in the front right, the connection to your heater core is in the left rear. The fitting is a pipe that is pressure fitted into the intake manifold. You should be able to check for a leak with a flashlght and an extended mirror. Look for a silver pipe about 1/2" in diameter. The leak will increase as you increase the RPMs.

Heater valve

there is no heater control valve in this truck, heat control is done through what are called blend doors. So the issue may be the front blend door motor has failed, this is very common on all Ford heatimng systems except the Focus.
