Check your trunk drainage holes for debris and check your door gaskets. If it is the drains, the water can back up and creep through the back. If it is the gaskets it could be coming right under the door and onto the floor.

SOURCE: 2002 Honda Accord Wet Floor

most common problem is the a/c condensor tube is clogged and is under the car and needs to be cleared with compressed air. also the sunroof track has 4 drain tubes and the right front may be clogged or leaking. you can check that by pouring a cup of water down the right front drain tube in the sunroof track and see if water comes out by the right front wheel

Toyota Camry 2010 rugs soaked wet passenger and driver sides both in front and rear including under the seats; only the bottom part of the floor is wet including under the seats. No water under the...

It could still be a leaking windshield and running under the carpet.
Or it could be a door gasket or one of the roof drains is plugged up.
You may need a body shop to check it out.

Water leak on drivers side in my 1999 Honda Civic DX Coupe

Go to the passenger side or driver side there you need to find the A/C drain tube make sure that it is draining outside and not in the compartment area. This drain hose tends to pop out, so when you have the A.C on you notice there is water draining out but in your case its going in thhe car.

Why is th carpet wet behind the driver seat in my '02 thunderbird

This can be from one of couple sources. One would be a broken or missing rubber seal in the firewall. Water can and will enter the passenger compartment if the seal is not good or missing. The firewall is the metal between the engine compartment and passenger compartment. There are many penetrations in the firewall for throttle linkage, steering column, electrical harness, etc. All of these penetrations have seals to prevent water from entering. Check to make sure all penetrations have seals. Inspect from under hood and from under the car, too.

Another source is damage to the floor pan. If you went over a rock or jagged object without having enough clearance, it may have punctured or even sliced through the floor - under the carpeting and sound deadening material under it. If you live in a cold area, and the roads are treated with salt or chemicals to melt ice, it may have caused rusting holes to appear in the floor pan. Water spraying up from tires would enter through the puncture or slice and the carpet would wick the water in. It would take a long time to dry and give a musty smell after just a short time. You should inspect the floor pan from underneath the car. Look for punctures, slices and rust / rot. Clean and seal any openings found in the floor pan and firewall.

Fixed windows and glass in the car body are also sources for leaks. The is especially true if glass has recently been replaced. Many times, the back window leaks into the trunk or metal under the rear seat - and flows to the carpeted floor. Look in the trunk at the bottom of the rear window. Side windows can leak, too - so don't forget to look behind trim interior panels on the sides of the back seat. Your leak could be coming from the windshield, too - this will be harder to locate through the dashboard - but you may find water dripping from wires, etc. Look for evidence of water / rust. Clean and reseal body / glass joints when found.

Good luck!

2007 Civic EX...found the carpet wet...I dried this out and after rain, it is wet again. It is not the slanted part behingd the brake pedal. It is the flat part of the floor...driver's side.

Sometimes tough to find. If it only gets wet when driving, the problem could be in the floor pan...possibly a rubber stopper missing. If it happens when it rains without driving, may be in a door seal or coming thru the windshield gasket. Water leaks also can come in on one side and follow other objects then drip somewhere else, (because of surface tension). You can take a water hose and wet one section at a time to try and narrow down the source of the leak. Has the car had body work done? If so, look at the repaired area. Look at rubber seals around the doors and windows. Good Luck! I hope you find this to be very helpful!

If Your Fan is operating properly, along with Your defroster Meaning Your A.C. Therefore causing more moisture in the car than can be evaperated under normal conditions... Hope this may Help!

Interior Carpet Getting Wet

It sounds like a plugged drain line from the air conditioner. Most cars now run in the a/c mode whenever u turn on the climate control (even when heat is on). The passenger side front is where it would be wet, and the carpet and carpet pad act like a sponge and will soak up the water. Let me know how u make out.

There is a water leak somewhere in my 98 toyota camry that leaks into my passenger side floor. There is no sun roof and no visible leaks from the windows or doors. Any thoughts? A/C leak maybe? water...

I am the original owner of camry xle 1998 with wet floors. In 2000 I had drivers side door seal leaking at welt. Removed old door seal and new weather strip on drivers side installed. The door panel was never wet, but wet at bottom of door where there are drain holes...slowly leaking under carpet.
In 2001 later water again. Coming from overflowing A/C evaporator-drain plugged/ tank full of debris. Removed evaporator, cleaned + drain cleaned.
In 2003, driver door seal against window rotted. Removed door panel and found leak at window belt molding at the mirror joint inside + out. Lots of mold under carpet needed to replace! Made a fuss at dealers for reacurring problem and they replaced the carpet for free.
