Starter is the safe bet but always check to make sure your ground wires are good.

SOURCE: the car has power but starter just clicks when

The solenoid for the starter may have bad power contacts. Older GM starters had the solenoid mounted to the starter itself. If this starter has just a heavy wire going to it, trace the wire to the solenoid--listen for the click while someone turns the key. Check the heavy wire on the other side of the solenoid which goes directly to the battery positive post. A voltmeter or test light is a handy tool for testing for voltage around the solenoid and the starter terminal.

the most expensive battery money can buy will die out in 3 days when tempertures are below freezing if the battery is not used in any running vehicle

your battery is dead forever I must tell you if this is your case

up in Alaska nothing is shut off at all. All vehicles outdoors are kept running for this reason and of course anti freeze does not work up here

2002 corolla won't start in cold weather, just clicking sound, tried charging battery, but still same

Batteries, when cold, are not able to provide anything near their rated power output. Engines, when cold, require much more torque to turn over than when warm. Starters, when cold, require much more current to operate. Older batteries have less reserve starting power. Battery chargers will restore voltage levels, over time, but are not the same as a battery or "jump start". Add it up. Cold motor hard to turn over. Cold starter demanding more power to run itself, plus even more to turn cold motor. Battery at its weakest due to cold. Chances are the battery needs replacement.

Shoul I undo the battery

No, do not charge your battery with your key on. Do not remove the connections from the battery. Make sure you have the red connection to red connection and black on the black connection from charger to battery when charging. Otherwise it could explode!

I believe i have a weak battery on my car when i tried starting the car after it had sat a month it was dead. I boosted it and it started and run fine. I bought a trickle charger and put it on the battery....

The charger shouldn't have hurt the battery but corrosion is caused by fumes from the battery being charged or used. If you know the cable ends are clear, the battery probably has a dead cell and will need replaced. Most parts stores will do a load test on the battery for free.

When the weather is very cold (below zero) the car will not even try to turn over it wil only click at the starter and ignition no turn battery is fine never does this any other time. only cold, but once...

It is normal for batteries to lose a good deal of their power due to cold temperatures. If you want better starting power, try using a battery charger/maintainer overnight. It should charge at no more than 2 amps. The slow trickle charging overnight will charge and warm up the battery and allow it to develop full power for a cold morning start.

If the battery is faulty a trickle charger may not supply enough power to charge it at all.
Take the battery to auto zone and have them check the battery.

Battery and cold storage of car for several months

a good battery will hold a charge through the winter if disconected from the vehicle adn left fully charged.
you may want to look into a battery monitoring charger, it is a trickle charger that is designed for long term use, it monitors battery volts and turns on when needed.

also put carpet squares or cardboard under the tires if you are parking on concreet. this will help prevent dry rot and flat spots
