For 1996 GMC Truck Sonoma 2WD 2.2L SFI OHV 4cyl
The EGR Valve is located under hood, center, rear engine area, mounted top rear driver side of engine.

96 chevy lumina 3.1 engine diagnostics test show that egr valve has too little flow i put three different egr valves on and check engine light still coming on for egr valve....please help
Could be a clog in the tube going to the EGR valve, or in the tube/hose leading away from it!

You most likely have either a defective EGR position sensor or a peice of carbon holding the EGR pintle valve off it's seat.

EGR VALVE ON 96 FORD PROBE SE
If it's a 2.0L, 5 speed (1994-7) there are two DPFE solenoids (both w/ 3 vacuum ports) near the oil filter, which control the EGR valve. They are discontinued and impossible to find except on junked cars. (FORD #'s K5T44093-4)
I have to junk my 1996 Probe if I don't find them - Missouri emissions.
