I just changed the ignition lock after having it forced to work after it would not get passed the lock position. now the dash components(radio, turn signals, cig lighter) only sometimes work. and the blower doesn't work at all. the blower fuse is fine. what else could it be?

Re: heater/ac not working
Hi my name is Allen!
With all these things you say are working sometimes leads me to believe you may have an ignition switch problem.
Here is what I need you to do, pull the cover off of the steering column the one that covers your shifter and wiper and turn signal lever, after you remove it turn the key the run position engine not running, then grab the connector going into the back of the ignition switch and wiggle it up and down and see if the blower starts working, if it does you need an ignition switch.
NOTE: Be sure to remove the connector and check to see if it is melted and burnt if it is you will need to get a pigtail from chrysler to replace the bad one and of course an ignition switch.
If that is not the case contact me and we will move to another diagnosis.

First make sure you dont have an air lock in your heater core and make sure you feel heat from the two heater hoses if you do fell heat your problem is under dash. If the hoses are not hot you have a blockage some where you may have a heater valve not operating it works by vaccum if u have AC look in the engine compartment or it maybe under the dash by heater core, I belive its in engine bay by Ac and heater boxes
These trucks have a problem where moisture builds up in the heater box then freezes. When this freezes and you change your heater settings it breaks the shaft for the blend door. If this is what happened you should be able to look under the dash above and to the right of the gas pedal and you will see two vaccuum accuators one of them you should be able to wiggle around the linkage if it is broke. To fix this you need to remove the entire dash to get the heater box out which involves discharging the AC and draining the coolant because the heater core and evaporator come out.
probably the blend door not opening fully. Do you hear a clicking under the dash by passenger's feet? If not, try calibrating the system:
Place the ignition switch to the OFF position.
With the Mode knob in the PANEL position, press and hold the AC button for 5 seconds.
Rotate the Mode knob fully counterclockwise.
Rotate the Mode knob fully clockwise.
Rotate the Mode knob fully counterclockwise.
Release the AC button.
Wait 40 seconds for the HVAC control module to self-calibrate.
Start the vehicle.
If this doesn't work, your actuator may have failed. Look under the dash to see if any of the actuators on the heater box are trying to turn when you change the temperature setting. Unfortunately, I cannot find aftermarket parts for your heater, so if the door isn't working you may need to go to the pontiac dealer. Let me know if you have questions.
It will be a cable that will be disconnected. or broken. Youll have to take some of the dash apart to see the cable and follow it to the switch. Dont be affraid to take some things apart and when you cant see, use a mirror to help you see behind the dash. work the control and watch the action. You will fix this dont get frustrated. good luck
this is a Pass Key anti theft problem, do the following to reset the system, if this doesn't work u will have to take it to the dealer, they are the only ones with the test gear to find and fix the problem
PASS LOCK RESET GM CARS 1999 UP 1) Put the key in the ignition and turn to the "ON" position. Leave it that way for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes turn the key and take it out. Repeat this process (2) more times (3 times, 30 minutes total) This should reset the passlock system to recognize your key.
