My rear wipers, rear washer and rear defrost stopped working. I have changed the fuses. what else would cause these 3 to stop?

I tried the fuses (fuse box in front of vehicle). it appears a 15amp fuse is what controls the rr wipers, so I assume this same fuse goes with the rest. is there another fuse box in the vehicle ... or did i get the wrong fuse ... or could the issue be something else?

I had the same problem, 97 4 runner. I followed #1 solution: start engine, lower rear window, raise/close rear window. Turn off engine, restart engine and it should re-set. It did for me.

The girl friend read this to me and I said, "sounds silly to me but I'll give it a shot". Came back in the house after trying, had to tell her she was a genius. Thanks for the help. Saved my bacon cause I have to head out of town in a few days and the service center couldn't get me in for a month.

make sure the back window is all the way up then try the wiper, if it still does not work then it is a sensor for the rear window (about $30.00) if you installed it yourself

a fuse would only apply if they all share the same circuit. i don't believe they do. i think the only common thread they share is that they are on the rear hatch. look to see if a wiring harness is pinched of chafed through.

The only thing they have in common is the ignition switch.

The rear window wiper goes continually. How do we stop it? We have tried removing the fuse for it but we cant figure out which fuse is which - its all in japanese. What do we do?

Sounds silly but if you go to google translate on the internet, you can work out what each Japanese word translates to. It may help, or alternatively, you will need to pull out 1 fuse at a time until the wiper stops. It will probably be a low amperage fuse. Not one of the large ones. Check that nothing else has turned off when you pull the fuse. It will stop your wiper but it may also cause some of the other electrical items to turn off as well such as your radio, washers, front wipers etc. Make sure these still work. If not, you may have to disconnect the wiring from the rear wiper motor which will eman you have to get inside the rear panel to access it.

Tried pulling the fuse for the washer fluid? Sounds like the wiper motor is failing or it doesn't have a good connection. Disconnect the battery at night to ensure you'll have enough power to crank it in the morning.

The rear wiper stopped working. I suspect that

The fuse for the rear wiper is located in the interior fuse panel on the passenger door side of the dash. It is the 3rd one down from the top in the left column (#3) and it is a 15 amp.

2004 4runner rear wipe blade and fluid just stopped working, is there an easy fix for this or should i take to dealer

If your rear wiper, fluid wash, and rear defrost stopped working at the same time try this first before taking it to the dealer. Start the 4Runner and lower the rear window glass. Wait a few seconds and raise the rear window. Turn the engine off and wait a few seconds. Restart the engine and see if this helps. I had the same problem after I had my drive belt replaced and the shop disconnected the battery cable. When the battery cable is disconnected it causes the rear wiper, fluid wash and defrost to stop working. Good luck!

99 Nissan Quest real wiper runs continually when ignition is on

Principles of Operation
Operation of the windshield wiper and washer is controlled by the front wiper/washer amplifier assembly. The front wiper/washer amplifier input comes from the multifunction switch by means of a voltage divider circuit. A constant voltage is applied to the multifunction switch by the front wiper/washer amplifier. When the multifunction switch is moved into the LO, HI, or intermittent position, the voltage is directed through a series of resistors. This results in various voltages being returned to the module for each switch position. The module then grounds the appropriate circuit, based on the voltage signal received back from the multifunction switch. This causes the wipers to run intermittently, or at the appropriate speed. Voltage is supplied to the wiper motor by the CJB fuse F46 (20A).
When the multifunction switch wash button is depressed, it bypasses all of the resistors returning a full voltage signal to the module. The module then grounds the appropriate circuits to operate the windshield washer pump for as long as the switch is depressed. The windshield wiper speed is dependent on the position of the windshield wiper/washer switch.
Voltage for the windshield washer pump is also provided by CJB fuse F46 (20A).
Operation of the rear wiper and washer is controlled by the rear wiper/washer switch.
Voltage is supplied to the rear window wiper motor by the fuse junction panel fuse F44 (10A).
The rear window wiper motor ground is made or broken by the rear wiper/washer switch. When the rear wiper/washer switch is moved into the WIPER position, it grounds the rear window wiper motor circuit, causing the rear window wiper motor to run once every 10-15 seconds.
Voltage to the rear washer pump motor is also supplied by the CJB fuse F44 (10A). The rear washer pump is directly controlled by the rear wiper/washer switch which makes or breaks the ground for the washer pump motor, depending upon its position.
If the vehicle is equipped with a movable liftgate glass, a liftgate glass switch is utilized to prevent rear window wiper operation when the liftgate glass is open. This same switch also causes the rear window wiper to drop down approximately three inches when the liftgate glass latch is released.
