It is the one that is on the driver's side, first one in the exhaust stream before the catalytic converter.

Code P0111 refers to the air temperature sensor which is part of the mass air flow sensor located in the intake ducting. It is held in by 2 screws and has a 5 wire terminal connector.

Bank one should be the side next to the firewall, and sensor one is before the catalytic converter.

with those codes showing, it could be either bad O2 sensors or there is a problem with the wiring to those sensors. Also, the wrong sensors may be installed. I'm assuming codes P0134, P0135, P0155.

P0134 = O2 sensor circuit-no activity detected (bank 1 sensor 1)

P0135 = O2 sensor heater circuit malfunction (bank 1 sensor 1)

P0155 = O2 sensor heater circuit malfunction (bank 2 sensor 1)

it means the oxygen sensor closest to the exhaust man. is bad , replace

I think the question is where is the bank 2 precat sensor on the 2.8 v6 passat. I have only found bank 1......????
