I have a 1995 Buick LeSabre, the heater blower works in three of the four positions. Position 1,2 ok 3 inop and max ok. Pulled controller and found very sturdy switches, cleaned these up and added contact cleaner protector. I have a schematic. The main relay is ok or I wouldn't get the first 3 positions on the blower. I know the controller is good because I checked it with a milliohmeter @10 microohms. The blower is good because it works on max and other two positions , all I can guess is that the blower resistor or connectore are bad, schematic is poor doesn't show location of resistor or any connectors except at the controller, resistor box, relays and motor. What I really need to know is the location of the resistor box, I could trace the wire but I don't want to mess up the factory wrapping any more than I have to. A factory schematic and manual woul be much better, and more expensive than the aftermarket el cheapo I bought.

There are actually two possibilities for your issue. First is the blower motor resistor as you stated as a possibility. The blower motor resistor is usually located inside the blower motor housing unless the blower motor is mounted horizontally and is accessible from the engine bay (which I do not believe is the case in your Buick) in which case the blower motor resistor is going to be located in close proximity to the motor.

The other possibility is that the ignition switch is going bad. Now, this may seem strange at first, but GM ran much of the power for the accessories through the ignition switch and as a result, carbon builds up on the contacts and starts to affect the operation of the accessories. However, I dont think this is the case in your issue as that is normally accompanied by issues with other accessories like the radio and such.

I think it is more likely that the blower motor resistor is bad in your case. I believe your blower motor is located on the passenger side, against the firewall close to the center console. If you contort yourself in a way where you can look at the bottom of the blower motor housing you may see a connector on the bottom, or a small access panel. If so, that is likely the blower motor resistor.

How to remove and reinstall heater fan motor on a 2002 Buick LeSabre ?

remove the plastic panel underneath the passenger side dashboard area. This panel contains built-in retaining clips and simply pops off by hand.
remove three 8mm holding the blower motors assembly into the dashboard HVAC unit, use a 1/4-inch ratchet and an 8 mm socket. Remove the blower motor's electrical connector and discard the old blower motor. Install the new blower motor in the HVAC cavity and replace the 8 mm mounting nuts. Reconnect the blower motor's electrical connector and replace the plastic panel. Turn on the ignition and test the blower motor on all of the fan speed settings

I cant turn the heater off, it runs all the time

Sounds like the blower motor control module has gone bad. You can find the module under the passenger side of the dash next the blower motor. Power is supplied to the module all the time. If the module fails it can turn on the blower regardless of the key position.

'91 Buick LeSabre heater blower motor

Are you sure the blower motor is defective? If the blower motor resistor pack is bad the blower will not work. Have you applied 12 volts directly to the blower motor to verify it is bad? I have not replaced a blower motor on your particular car but it is usually a labor intensive repair. Depending on where you have it repaired the cost could be as little as $150 and up. Hard to say without actually doing it. Replacing the Resistor Pack is a fairly easy repair, so hopefully that is your problem.

!993 Buick Le Sabre Heater motor does not work at any speed.

I had the same problem with mine and I replaced the blower motor, and still didn't work. The problem ended up being the blower motor control module. I have the auto temp control, so my replacement part was pretty expensive. Found a used one online fairly cheap. Hope this helps.
