Hi,
It requires a special size that comes as a socket type from the parts store. I believe is is a TORX 45. But, usually you can fit and allen wrench into the torx hole to remove them. I have used 5/16",3/8",8mm and 9mm allens to do the job on various vehicles and it worked out great.
Hope that helps!...Mike
No, it doesn't. The radio needs to have CD^ on the 1 button to accept an adapter (instead of the factory 5 disc changer). The adapter is made by a few different companies (search on google), and you'll need to pull the radio to install it. My guess is that a stereo shop can install one for you for around $100.
I have a 2003 Dodge Durango R/T with the same radio, and will be looking to do that soon. There are a few aux input jacks that can be installed in the dash for convenience, at a small extra cost.
i have a 2002 ford escape and i bought a double din radio and it did not fit and found out it is actually a din and 3/4 with out serious mods (cutting a bigger hole in dash) double din wont fit i bought a single din stereo and a din a 3/4 dash kit works fine
I has this problem after i had recently changed out the stereo. Chech to see if the illumination wire that runs to the stereo is hooked up correctly. If you have an aftermarket stereo you may need to ground it to the body of the car.
I believe that the fuse is located in the engine compartment but check your car manual to find the exact location.
