If the starter turns over, it's doing it's job. Look toward the ignition or fuel system for solutions. That broken wire just may be the culprit. It takes spark, fuel, and air intake to run.

Large purple wire is your starter engagement wire, I believe you will have to tie into more than that wire to get your remote start to work properly, maybe get me brand and model number so I may research more and point you in the right direction as far as installation goes.

You would have to post the manufacturer of the remote starter to receive a schematic for it

As long as you dont have any aftermarket remote starting systems installed.It sounds like a wiring issue or ignition switch issue...Good Luck!!!
