P0340 DODGE - Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Bank 1 Sensor 1

Possible causes- Camshaft Position Sensor harness is open or shorted
- Camshaft Position Sensor circuit poor electrical connection
- Faulty Camshaft Position Sensor
- Faulty starter motor
- Starting system circuit
- Dead (Weak) battery Tech notes Sometimes and in some models, low battery voltage or a weak starter can can trigger a Camshaft Position Sensor code, also a loose worn cam belt can cause this code. Has the belt ever been replaced?.

Testimonial: "very detailed and helpful. thank you."

I have a 98 dodge caravan 3.3 code p1698 no ccd/J1850 mess from tcm/pcm

Try clearing the codes, then restart, see what codes still come up. To manually clear the codes disconnect the neg battery post, leave off for 10 minutes, re-attach. If its OK, only the 12 code will show up.

I change this of my 98 Dodge caravan but I'm still

The ****** is slipping the sensors are just reported that it is slipping, this sets a fault code, it doesn't means the sensors are defective as you found out. You will need to rebuild the transmission is my guess.
