I have a 2005 Saturn Vue. While driving the interior lights come on when ever they want. Sometimes they stay on sometimes they flicker back & forth. The doors will also constantly lock theirselves while this is happening. After this happens, when the car has been parked, the alarm will go off. Any solutions? We called a dealer & did what they suggested, but it didn't work.

Have the charging system checked , could be a bad diode inside the alternator .

I would check your fuse board for a loose fuse or wire to it from the battery as sometimes vibration loosens terminals eric

It sounds like you have a loose ground wire. You should get it into a shop before it does some expensive damage.

it is the speed sensor (vss) in the top of trans just under the shift cables. dealer part only. Cost around 35.00 to 40.00 bucks

Hi:
the dash has seven or eight small bulbs illuminating the entire area, and approx 3 of them are for the speedometer/odometer area.

It seems odd that those are the first to go, but most likely the problem.
It often requires removal of the instrument cluster to swap bulbs. not too bad, but sometimes tricky.

The shifter cables needed to be replaced. Aamco fixed the probelm for $428.40 (incl: material, labor & taxes).

Please opt for a scan as there must be an issue.

THE AIR BAGS TURN OFF AND ON BECAUSE IT GOES BY WEIGHT... AND IT ALSO GOES OFF WHEN YOU ARE GOING A LOWER SPEED AND WHEN YOU ARE GOING A HIGHER SPEED THEY WILL COME BACK ON.

I had the same problem some time ago, lights would go on and off, odometer appeared to stop counting at times rpm gauge would work and then not... power steering would off and on work and head lights would blink on and off when in driving light mode (off position).. The fix for me was I had to have the dash computer replaced (about $500). After doing this around 50k miles ago all the gremlins seem to have remained gone.. Hope this helps
