When you go to auto zone they use a generic scan tool,to get the code under the generic protocal,it has to match the enhance version,then it can code a description,All technician in the field knows that a generic code has to be gathered and so does the enhanced code have to be gathered, You have code or their scan tool doesnt work or your DLC (diagnostic link connector ) has no power on pin 16 which is the cigarette lighter of your truck

Your computer checks your cars many sensors for any signal that seem out of a normal range. If it finds anything that seems odd it will set a code and your check engine light will come on. Best advice is to take it to a garage or somebody who can retrieve that code with a scan tool. If it's a bad part replace it, if it's nothing clear the code. Then the light should go away.
Sounds like the routine mantinence done is unrelated to your problem. But check your fluid levels to be safe. Otherwise get the code read, it usually is free or cheap to have that done.

The 1st thing you need done is to have a scan tool hooked up and the computer stored fault codes read.

326 EGR circuit voltage lower than expected

327 EGR valve pressure transducer/position sensor circuit below minimum voltage

332 EGR valve opening not detected

337 EGR valve pressure transducer/position sensor circuit above maximun voltage

its the tube going from the egr valve to your exhaust it have carbon build up and you either have to replace it or get a metal coat hanger and clean it out.

332 = EGR valve opening not detected.

You should be able to find a list of DTC's on the Internets somewhere.

on code 328 Replace the EGR valve. and code 332 Replace the EGR valve man !
