The drivers' side rear brake stuck causing the brake shoe to erode. After removing the drum, it was noted that the brake cylinder had ruptured on the trailing brake shoe side. New cylinder, brake shoe, and associated springs were purchases and applied. Same issue arose one week later. What could be the cause of this?
SOURCE: no brake fluid flow to right rear brake
neither have I, but no it is not repairable you would just have to replace it.
SOURCE: Problem bleeding the brakes
ITS POSS FOR IT TO BE THE WEIGHT VALVE IF THERE ONE FITTED IF YOU LOOK UNDER THE CAR NEAR CENTER OF REAR AXLE YOU SHOULD SEE A BOX WERE THE BOTH SIDES BRAKE PIPES GO TO THIS SHOULD HAVE A ARM ON IT WITH A SPRING.. THIS WORKS WHEN YOU PUT EXSTRA WEIGHT IN BOOT ETC IT ALTERS THE BRAKING POWER TO HELP WITH THE WEIGHT ETC. THIS IS PROB FAULTLY ,, AND NOT LETTING TO FLUID FLOW BACK
SOURCE: how do you put on drum disk and colaps the shoe pads
Remove the pads from the caliper and look for some resessed dimples on the piston head. The piston has to be gently screwed inward to allow for new pads. Be carefull not to damage piston seal. When piston is seated then the pads will fit and give you room to install on rotor. After install slowly pump brake pedal to return park brake location. Check fluid level. If this helps let me know. You need a pullers to get it off.But if your lucky putting a screwdriver between the drum and back-plate and pize it when your hitting with a hammer it may come off.good luck.

You need to make sure where the shoes touch the baking plate is lubes, and that the rear brakes are not adjusted too tight. If you use the parking brake make sure the cables are working freely and not sticking. I would make these checks before thinking of a clog in brake lines. The other thing that can cause this is the master cylinder going bad and sticking holding the brakes on.
If the drum is difficult to remove, remove the plug from the rear brake support plate. Push the self adjuster lever away from the star wheel using a thin screwdriver. The lever and star wheel are accessed through the hole on the rear brake support plate. Rotate the star wheel using a brake adjusting tool to retract the shoes.
