1995 chevrolet k1500 with a 4l60e transmission shifts through all the gears but shifts through them all waYYYYYY to fast 1st 2nd and 3rd gear are all before 30 mph and over drive only gets the truck to 50 mph after rpms top out

need more info i had a 1984 chevy half ton and first, second, and third worked fine but lock up didnt work. the problem was there was no vacum at a switch under the hood on the fire wall also your shift linkage could be out of adjustment. try driving down the road and raise up a little on the shifter.

SOURCE: used transmission installed and doesnt shift at the right rpms

Ck your trans modulator., and if not already done, you pan filter and fluids

you have a valve body problem, some of the speed sonsor controls are malfunctioning... need to get into the valve body... check fluid condition for dirty and burned condition...

Have you changed the fluid & filter lately? Start there, much cheaper fix than anything else.

You most likely have a broken sunshell inside the transmission. They tend to go out when the transmission is shifted to drive when while still rolling in reverse.
