No adjustment, unless the motor is apart & your
putting the heads back on

They have been hydraulic lifters for at least 50 years

The motor is old & the lifters are dirty & worn & possibly
other issues in valve train, sticking valves, worn valve guides
etc

How do you ajust lifters on a 2007 Chrysler v6 2.7 litre

Hi Leshi, Im AL the owner of Big As Auto Repair

There is no adjustment for the lifters on a 2.7 Chrysler engine.

The noise could be upper valve train problems OR Oil Pressure problems. Without a proper diagnosis there is no way of knowing what is causing the noise. It's possible it could be a pulley or something else making noise as well.
Hope this helps and please send people to my auto-repair-website to check out all my satisfied customers. http://www.bigasautorepair.com/

2002 2.7 liter chrysler has a knock in the engine. sounds like it is coming from the valves

if the car has alot of miles on it , a little bit of top engine noise is nothing to worry about. if the car does'nt have alot of miles on it or the noise is real loud then you may have a lose valve or need rocker arm ajustment.

I have 1996 Dodge Caravan. I went and got oil changed and now its ticking. I was told is a front lifter. Trying to charge outragious price to fix. Whats parts are needed???? and what has to be done to fix?

did u use the same thickness of oil at change-look at paperwork-a thinner oil ona older car creates noise--use the original or thicker and if still noise then get valves ajusted-its an easy job for honest people

I have a 94' Isuzu rodeo with a fast tap

alot of the 4clys had ajustable tappets that might need adjusting
V6 have tappets adjusted also but are shims on top of bucket over valve spring, this is hard to do as you may need to change shims to get correct valve clearances suggest dealer to do.
if the noise comes in and out while maintaining 1500-2000rpm when stationary it is possibly worn valve guides which is common on high km vehicle.(head repairs)

Tappet ajustments for a 350 chev small block intake and exhaust

to properly adjust the valves on this engine, it requires you to run the engine (now be ready to make a mess), and the nut that holds the rocker needs to be loosened until there is a tapping noise heard. once you hear that tightened it back down until there is no noise and then 1/4 turn. do this for each valve and enjoy.

1997 pontiac grand am knoking topside, ajusted valves, replaced fuil filter, fuuil regulater, intake gasket, cleaned injecters, what eilths could it be?

If im correct i beleive those engines have hydraulic lifters in them. Thats probably whats making the noise. it's useless to replace them. It's not gonna affect your engines performance. just let it knock
