SOURCE: My taurus failed due to code p0442 ecap emiss ctl sys leak detected (small leak)

Continuous Memory Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P0442 indicates that a fuel vapor leak has been detected [as small as 0.10 cm (0.04 inch)] in the Evaporative Emission (EVAP) system.
Note: Prior to performing the following diagnosis inspect the Canister Vent Solenoid (CV) for contamination. A situation may exist where contamination holds open the Canister Vent (CV) solenoid enough to set DTC P0442 and also plugs the port to atmosphere enough to keep system from being vented quickly.
    • After market parts and accessories nonconforming to the EVAP system specifications.
    • Damaged, cross threaded or loosely installed fuel filler cap.
    • Small holes or cuts in fuel vapor hoses/tubes (EVAP canister tube, EVAP canister outlet tube or EVAP return tube) in the EVAP system.
    • Loose fuel vapor hose/tube connections to EVAP system components.
    • EVAP system component [EVAP canister purge valve, fuel tank pressure (FTP) sensor, canister vent (CV) solenoid, fuel vapor control valve tube assembly or fuel vapor vent valve assembly] seals leaking.
    • CV solenoid partially open when commanded closed.
    • EVAP canister leaking.
  • Check for presence of fuel filler cap.
  • Verify that the CV solenoid is properly seated on the EVAP canister (if possible).
  • Visually inspect for cut or loose connections to fuel vapor hoses/tubes in following locations:
    • EVAP canister to EVAP canister purge valve.
    • EVAP canister to fuel vapor vent valve assembly.
    • fuel vapor control valve tube assembly to fuel tank (if applicable).

SOURCE: 2001 ford taurus wont start and anti-theft light is blinking

Either you may be using a key that you had copied from the original or your chip went bad in your original key. Most of cars now a days have the key censor in the key so if it is the incorrect key it will not start your car or if it does not read that chip it will not start

SOURCE: what does this code mean?

P0460 Code - Fuel Level Sensor Circuit Malfunction.

I'm not sure what you mean by you mixed gas, does that mean you switched to a different station or octane level? Does the gas gauge still work fine? As long as it works fine you could keep driving for a few more tanks to see if the problem goes away. If you overfill or run the tank too low it can cause issues with the fuel sender.

When the pump clicks off, you're done filling. Though at 175K miles the fuel sender could just have gone bad. If you start to see symptoms then take it into the shop definitely. About the only thing you could do prior to that is if you're comfortable you could use a digital volt ohm meter (DVOM) and measure the sensor readings at the tank (at the electrical connections).

Good luck.

I have a 2001 Ford Focus with the codes p0136 and p0141 showing, what should I do?

both codes refer to O2 sensors. PO141 and PO136. 136 is sensor bank 1 sensor 2. 141 is bank 1 sensor 1. so this info will work on both sensors. This code means that the heated circuit in the oxygen sensor on bank 1 decreases time needed to enter closed loop.
As the O2 heater reaches operating temperature, the oxygen sensor responds by switching according to oxygen content of the exhaust surrounding it. The ECM tracks how long it takes for the oxygen sensor to begin switching. It the ECM determines (based on coolant temp) that too much time elapsed before the oxygen sensor began operating properly, it will set P0141. See also: P0135 (Bank 1, Sensor 1).
Symptoms You will likely notice poor fuel economy the illumination of the Check Engine Light.
Causes A code P0141 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
  • open or short to ground in the wiring harness
  • O2 heater circuit wiring high resistance
  • O2 heater element resistance is high
  • Internal short or open in the heater element
Note: Typically a failed catalytic converter does not cause this code. You're more likely to see a P0420 code for a failed converter.
Possible Solutions
  • Replace oxygen sensor (cannot repair open or short that occurs internally to sensor)
  • Repair short or open or high resistance in wiring harness or harness connectors

Have 4 codes P0306 P1181 P0141 P0136 is there easy fix? Also vibration at high speeds and passenger aide in front sounds like humming any ideas 2000 Volvo S80 2.9 Non turbo

There is no "easy fix" as only 2 of the 4 codes are for the same thing...for the P0136 and P0141, its probably a bad Bank 1 sensor 2 oxygen sensor..the P0306 means cylinder 6 is misfiring (it could be bad spark plug, bad coil, bad injector, carbon on valves, low compression) and P1181 is showing a fuel delivery issue high pressure...as for the vibration, have all tires checked for balance and hum on passenger side is possibly a bad wheel bearing...and and all is best to have checked by your mechanic.

I have a 2003 Dodge Stratus Coupe R/T. Just got it inspected and it failed. Check engine light is on and the codes it failed for are P0136, P0141 and P0456. Pep Boys told me I have to take it to the...

You have to realize that vehicle is15 years old and probably worth peanuts. if you repair it then a few weeks later it breaks down again you have probably wasted your money. i feel to repair it you will pay close to a thousand dollars then you don't know if it will pass a safety next year
I would scrap it and get a good one. Just to go to a dealer for a check up will cost over a hundred dollars.

My Ford Taurus Failed the inspection, we have replaced 1 oxygen sensor, but the reading still failed. Went to the Autozone & & did a reading came up with two codes P0430 & P0125, is this to...

PO125 means the ECM sees the engine is too cold to go into closed loop and runs rich for too long.
PO430 means the ECM doesn't like what it sees coming out the exhaust.
I would check the thermostat and make sure the engine is getting up to 195-200 degrees after 5 or 10 min of drive time, and if it is then check the temp sensor for the ECM to make sure it is reading the engine temp correctly.
Fixing the code 125 should take care of the code 430.

1998 Ford Mustang 3.8L broken hose.

Have you replaced the broken hose? The bad part can cause the other codes to appear so fix what you know is bad, disconnect the negative battery cable for 10 minutes afterwards and then start it up and see what happens.

All you need to do with the codes are to put each one in the search bar and search for ford code p1443, ford code p0136, and ford code p0141. But do that after you fix the obvious problem.

Codigo p0141 pb

hi, this is an obd2 trouble code table, it can help you understand the meaning of code,
the reason of cause this code are:
A code P0141 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
open or short to ground in the wiring harness
O2 heater circuit wiring high resistance
O2 heater element resistance is high
Internal short or open in the heater element
Note: Typically a failed catalytic converter does not cause this code. You're more likely to see a P0420 code for a failed converter.
I think the possible solutions are:
Replace oxygen sensor (cannot repair open or short that occurs internally to sensor)
Repair short or open or high resistance in wiring harness or harness connectors
hope help.

My car is xg300 Hyundai the code showing up are p01191 &p1193 , p0136, p0141 what are they will it cost me

Electronic Throttle System codes (P1191 & 1193), Limp Home mode & Low RPM (Detected RPM below 470). This is usually cause by either a sticking throttle plate or an intake air hose leak.

P0136 - O2 Sensor Malfunction (Bank 1, sensor 2), P0141 - O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1, Sensor 2). Either the sensor is broken, it's been unplugged, or the wiring has been damaged.
