2001 Chevy Astro Van

I have recently replaced fuel pump, catalyc convertor 2 times. The fuel filter, spark plugs, wire's rotor and cap. The vapor sensor was replaced today, the van died on the way home, and will not restart. Tries to start but won't turn over. Recently had a new fuel pump put in.

cranks, but won't start. It's a 2001 Chevy express 1500. Recently had a new fuel pump put in. I just change out the relay switch. can hear the pump, but won't start.

Wouldn't turn over usually means NOT cranking or do you mean wouldn't start but cranks over??

2003 astro van starts fine, but after it is up to tempture and try to restart I have to crank the engine for a long time before it starts

first thing to do change fuel filter. if it still does not work check pressure on fuel pump. possibly bad distributor or rotor cap

1/ Have you fitted the spark plug leads in the proper firing order.
2/ Look inside the top of distributor Top (this is not the first time a new distributer cap has very small crack) or the rotor arm is fitting the cap properly. Hope this helps Best Wishes, Malcolm Campbell.

2000 astro van won't start

What you have to do is check and see if you have fuel pressure.You have to remove the engine cover to check it.If you don`t have a pressure tester then remove the air cleaner hose to the engine and spray it with carb.cleaner or brake cleaner.If it starts for a few seconds then it is more than likely a fuel pump.If it does not start then you have to check for spark at the spark plugs.Make sure you check more than one plug.If no spark then you have to check the distributor cap and rotor.Make sure the rotor is good and cap also.Things that can cause no spark are the ignition module,coil,and cap and rotor.Hope this helps.Good luck.

Have the drive gear on the distributor checked, these are known to wear and cause a timing issue.

underneth the intake manold is were your fuel injector poppet nozzles are, more than likely the fuel line hose that goes thru the back of the intake is split and leaking fuel underneth the intake manifold if you check the fuel pressure you will find that the fuel pressure will drop down to 0 psi as soon as the fuel pump shuts off and it should hold pressure
