If you know the fuse and relay have power, you should be able to jumper the relay and make the horn blow. The horn pad on the steering wheel usually grounds the relay. If you can jumper the relay and make the horn blow, the problem may be the horn pad or the clockspring in the steering column.

check B+ in the horn pin and check the ground on the horn if there is B+ and B- just change the horn if there is no B+ on the horn conector replace the relay .
B+ = battrey power

SOURCE: horn doesnt work but fuses and relay are good

In most cases this problem is caused by the rotating ribbon circuit contact under the steering wheel having a broken filament, the part is known as a clock spring contact, u will need to properly disarm the airbag and remove the steering wheel to access the part. WARNING: Failure to follow factory Airbag disarming protocol can result in an unexpected Airbag deployment and possible serious personnel injury or death.

SOURCE: horn does not sound

horn is under the hood. usually right against the grill or mounted on fender well. fuses for horn can be under the dash, or in fuse panel under the hood.

Horn stopped working. how to fix?

Check to see if there is 12 volts at the horn positive connection when someone pushes the horn button on the steering wheel. If there is voltage, and no sound, you need a new horn. If there is no voltage when the horn button is pressed, you need to troubleshoot the rest of the electrical circuit. First look in your fuse box for a blown horn fuse. Then try replacing the horn relay.

My horn doesnt work in my 2004 chevy impala

I will try first checking if they are not unplugged. They are under the hood right in front of the radiator below the passenger head light next to the bumper. and the fuses are located inside on the left side next to the head lights switch

1998ford explorer horn doesnt work

If the fuse is OK, check if you have power at the horn, if yes, replace the horn, if not check the switch or wire. make sure you have a good ground too.

My horn doesnt work in my 1998 mitsubishi mirage how can i fix it

have you checked all fuses and relays? if they r all good then you need to see if there is power to the horn by using a test light. this takes two people to do one to hold test light to horn wire one to press horn. horn is located behind front bumper. if you have power then replace the horn if no power then you have a blown fuse or bad relay or bad horn button in steering wheel.

2003 dodge caravan airbag good horn doesnt work,so i jumped horn relay horn worked .so i now know relay to horn is good clock spring wiring horn pad?fuse compartment on wiring diagram has horn relay 20 amp...

if you check the wire that comes from the horn button to the relay for voltage when the horn is pushed and have voltage then you have a bad relay,if not then you probably have bad contacts in the horn pad area or even the clock spring itself.

In the cluster of relays under the hood(passenger side ) of a 1988 300zx, which one is the horn relay?

this is a tough one, there are a few relays there you will need to have someone push on the horn and you feel relays until you feel a clicking on the relay and that will be the one, alsom check the fuse first to make sure thats good, most of the time its a fuse or bad horns a horn relay doesnt go bad to often so start first with the fuses, heres a diagram of the insidee fusebox, the horn fuse is # 9 and holds a 10amp fuse, hope this is helpful.johnjohn2_45.gif

Horn doesnt work

Most common problem is fuse. Next most common is the horn itself. Next comes the horn relay and then the "clockspring" if it has an airbag

How do you fix the horn in a 19991 Pontiac Grand am?

If you jumper from the positive terminal on the batt to the horn and it doesnt sound off the horn is bad. But i would check the wiring to it make sure its connected and if there is a good fuse in place. If that checks good find the relay and make sure the relay it good.
