I have a Hyundai Santa Fe 2002, V6 2.7 L, the problem is that recently I had to change the crankshaft pulley and gear the crank pulley, because they were damaged, since then, the hydraulic system make a horrible noise, I was thinking that the problem was a high pressure hose near to the rudder steering, but the hose its ok, however I still have to refill the steering liquid every day, I saw a spillover from the reservoir but I would like to know if its possible that this problem its related to the change of the belt, since it was changed when the crankshaft pulley and gear the crank pulley was changed

THE CRANK SENSOR IS LOCATED ON THE ENGINE BLOCK NEAR TRANSMISION BUT CALL YOUR DEALER THIS TRUCK HAVE A RECALL FOR THE SENSOR

Put a socket and wrench on the crankshaft pulley bolt, and see if you can turn the crankshaft-clockwise. If the crank won't turn, something internal is bad. If you can turn the crankshaft normally, check that another pulley has seized.
Or try it this way: take the serpentine belt back off and see if the starter can spin the crankshaft. If it does, look for a seized pulley. If a good battery cannot make the starter turn the crankshaft, likely the motor is shot.

I had the similar problem with my 02 santa fe. Someone said it is the crankshaft sensor. How is yours now?

Parts stores sell a "harmonic balance pulley remover" for around 15-20 dollars. Much like a steering wheel puller, it's a gear puller made to remove the harmonic balancer with engine in car.

Never seen a big engined petrol one of these ,diesel manuals yes plenty abound ,but this year model on the diesel anyway suffers from a crankshaft keyway problem and it wears away allowing the front pulley and timing gear to move allowing the pistons to hit the valves ,now later models had a deeper keyway as a remedy but yours is a 2002 and this could suffer the same problem as the diesels.So check the timing marks first before you change this and that ,V6 petrol ?? try paying 7 dollars a gallon and then say if the diesel isnt the best for economy

Below is the diagram you will need to replace the belt. The diagram is for a 6cyl. 2.7 engine (most common for that year). Once the tensioner pulley is loose, route the new belt as diagrammed and while applying pressure, tighten the tensioner pulley.

Remove accy drive belts first. Remove 22mm center crankshaft bolt (use air impact wrench)... pully slides off.

Check the pulley alignment if they are not aligned they eat the belts, if they have the ribs to sharp they willcut thru the belts, Inspect the crankshaft pulley if it turns too freely it may be loose from vibration rubber, replace it.
