Do not hook a wire from the dashlight to the headlight. Headlights draw large amounts of current and the wiring for dashlights is not larg enough to handle headlight draw and will start a fire!

Turning my headlights on blows the fuses to running lights and dashlights

headlight switch is bad, change the headlight switch itsellf will short out, therefore blowing your fuse. turn signals and break lights are on a different relay, therefore they will still work

The brakelights, dashlights and headlights all quit working on 1999 chevy lumina. The parking lights, turn signals snd high mount brakelight all work.

It sound like you may have a bad headlight switch. All of those other lights are wired though that switch as well. Be sure to check all fuses and headlight relay.

I have no dash lights or headlights

since the dashlights and the headlights are on separate fuses and i figure that you have checked your fuses i would look into replacing your headlight switch. headlight fuse works the switch the switch tells the dashlights to come on and sends a signal to a relay under the hood that tells the headlights to come on.

I changed stereo and now the dashlights do not work

Check your park light fuse. You may have blown the fuse for the dashlights/park lights by accidentally grounding the night illumination wire, located in the radio wiring. That wire runs from the dash lights to the radio, to illuminate the radio at night. Alternately, if the park light fuse keeps blowing when you replace it, you might've hooked that night light wire up to the wrong wire on your radio.
