Code P0302 on ford winstar

I would think this should tell you you have either a bad spark plug or plug wire. If not, check compression on no.2 to check for burnt valve or worse.

The O2 sensors are mounted in the exhaust pipe before and after the catalytic converter if that is your question.

Try switching coils and see if problem follows coil. Same with plug wires, try switching wires.

P0302 is a misfire in cylinder #2. When was the last time you changed spark plugs? That's the most common cause of a misfire.

This has to do with your bank one O2 sensor. You may just need to clean it off, possible you may have to replace it.

That's an 02/oxygen sensor code means that bank 1 or 2 is too lean. Good Luck contact if you need more help.

The codes are lean fuel condition for both banks. A very common problem with this engine that will set these codes are the upper & lower intake gaskets. You may experience a rough or rolling idle at cold start up and the condition will go away as the engine warms up. If you have checked all the basics such as vacuum leaks or air inlet leaks between the air filter box and the throttle body, then I would consider replacing these intake gaskets. P0302 is cyl #2 misfire and the other 2 are lean or rich codes because of the misfire repair code P0302 first and the other 2 codes will most likley clear up.
