P0420 means the cat converters tests below minimum efficiency. That can be caused by an exhaust leak. Take it to a small independently owned (NOT A CHAIN PLACE) shop to get a quote.

Hello! The DTC P0016 inidicates a cranskshaft and camshaft misalignment. If you only replaced the camshaft position sensor - you may need to replace the crankshaft position sensor - which is located at the top where the engine and transmission connect.

Hope this helps and good luck! Thanks for using FixYa!

SOURCE: Dodge 2002 Grand Caravan V6 3.3 engine overheating/no cabin heat.

Replace the bad radiator hose first.  Second- get you special formulated anti-freeze dye from the auto store and pour it into the radiator.  Third- make sure you got all the air pockets out of your system, cause the coolant system won't work with air pockets in it.  Fourth- Check for leaks by looking for the colored dye.  If it's not the radiator hose, then could possibly be a pin hole in your radiator.  Would suggest replacing all the radiator hoses at the same time while you got the coolant system disconnected, cause you don't want to have to come back and replace another hose in a few months.

I have a 2005 dodge grand carvan What do the codes p0700 and p0562 mean? and how do i fix it ?

P0700 is generic transmission code, transmission malfunction.. Have it read with a scanner to find the exact code. p0562 is battery voltage is low. Check positive and negative cables for corrosion and good connection. Also check the engine and body grounds. Make sure you have a engine to body strap/ground. They break. This could be the reason you're getting the p0700 code.

What is code 1255 for?

Hello there, I have a 91 dodge grand caravan and by the looks of it, you used the key on, key off, key on, key off, key on method to get those codes. If so, 12 is one code(number of key ons since last fault)(direct battery input to controller disconnected within last 50 too 100 ignition key ons), And for code 55, its just the completion of faultcode display on the check engine light. So basically, there is nothing to worry about. * *NOTE*-All information came right out of Haynes repair manual for 84-95 Dodge Carvans

Regarding the Check Engine Light: Do you have a Digital Odometer? If So with the Engine Light ON = you have a Code. Insert the Key in the Ignition. Turn the Key three (3) times from OFF to ON (not Start) which is the position just before Start. On the third (3rd) time leave the Key in the ON (not Start) position. Look at the digital odometer space. Write down and Codes that are present. For Example "P 0430". The last code will be "donE" = it is done giving you codes. Respond a Comment back to this Post and let me know what Code(s) are showing. I am assuming you have a 4-speed transmission?
There are 2-speed Sensors on the front of the transmission. Input and Output Speed Sensors.
They are level with each other, right above the top line of the Solenoid (wiring harness goes into this box-like assembly) The one that is closest to the Solenoid is the Input Sensor. The one (at the same level) towards the left side of the van is the Output sensor. The Output Sensor is most likely malfunctioning. Unplug this and ceck the electrical connnection. Remoe and corrosion or oxidation (white stuff) from both sides of the metal connections. Replug in and check operations. Because of it's location, these Sensors are prone to corrosion and oxidation. If that does not work: Unplug again and remove the Output Sensor. I believe a 1-in wrench or 1-inch Deep Socket will work, after you unplug the sensor. Before replacing the sensors - you may clean the metal particles off the interior tips of the Sensors and reinstall and check operations. IF this does not fix the problem: Unplug, Remove and Replace this Output Sensor.

The light could be coming on for a totally unrelated reason like an oxygen sensor. Most major part stores now scan codes for free (or they will let you use their scanner in on site). Scan the code and post it here for additional help.

The airbag light comes on and stays on for about 20 seconds while driving. Does this intermittantly. Dodge grand carvan sport 2001 Whats it trying to tell me?

More than likely the clock spring (spiral connection) will need to be replaced, but you need to have it scanned for codes to verify. It can be several other things as well but most of the time it's the clock spring. Don't put it off too long, when the light is on the airbag system is dissabled.

P1684 dtc code on 2001 dodge grand caravan sport.

Yah code 1684, it just tells you that battery/computer has been disconnected within last 50 starts. If it doesn't drive you nuts, give it some time, you'll be suprised how quick 50 starts will go by & light should go out
