No power to blower motor resistor

Have you checked voltage and ground for blower motor? in the diagram, the top wire at blower motor is voltage. The purple wire, bottom wire from blower motor is ground. You can see blower fuse at the top, hot all the time. The blower motor on/off, different speeds are controlled on the ground circuit. You can take two wire connector loose from blower motor, use both ends of test lite at wiring connector terminals, turn on key, turn on hvac and blower controls, if the lite comes on, you have voltage and ground. If good voltage and ground with no blower action, suspect the blower motor. I couldn't post whole diagram and make it readable. The problem could be almost anywhere, with the wiring? I can only help with testing. good luck

get a circuit tester and attach it to 12 volt battery circuit.then find the blower motor resistor and probe the wires going to it. the test light should come on if the resistor is good because it is suppling ground to the blower motor. each wire is for a different blwer setting so you will have to check them all on different levels of the blower switch.

The recharge of your a/c system and this is unrelated, could be a bad blower motor or blower motor resistor, have you checked your blower motor fuse? If fuse good, check voltage at blower motor, sit under dash on passenger side, just below dash, you will be able to see it, will have two wire's going to it, only one will have voltage with switch on, if you have voltage replace it, not that hard of a job to do, shop repair time to remove and replace blower motor is .7 tenths of an hour, hope this was very helpful.

three things left to check,
using test light see if you have power at motor with key and switch on,if you do replace motor,if not locate blower motor resistor it will be close to motor,check for power going in,last is the heater control assembly

If the engine compartment fuse #105 is OK, next 2 items are :

1. Blower motor relay. This is in the same fuse block as the flasher, under the dash, about in line with the steering wheel column. It should have a cover on it, so it will be black, and hard to see.


When you pull it, you can bypass the control panel operation of it, by jumpering the normally open contacts ( show below with the red line )


If this does not work, the next thing to check is the blower motor resistor, mounted in the blower duct on the passenger side :


The right hand side of the picture, is the passenger side kick panel where the fuel inertia switch is at. The wiring pigtail shown goes to the blower motor resistor, which is towards the left / driver's side.

The resistor usually goes out, with only the high speed part working, but you could have a case where all are out ( seen it happen before ).
The black wire in this harness should go directly to ground ( check with a meter to the ground lugs behind the passenger side kick panel ).
A loose / missing ground to the blower motor resistor will also give the same symptoms of a blown resistor pack.

blower relay or resistor bad.also the AC and HEATER control switch could be bad.

You may have a bad blower motor resistor. The blower motor is located in the passenger side foot well. You will need to remove the kick panel on the passenger side to get at the motor. 
The blower motor resistor is located on the back of the blower motor housing under the dash on the passenger side. It can be difficult to get at. Remove the cover panel from beneath the dash on the passenger side. Unplug the power 'ribbon' wires leading to the resistor. Unplug the wires that lead from the resistor to the blower motor housing.
There are usually two, one black and one purple that share the same plug. Remove the short hose that leads from the blower motor housing to the ventilation ducts. Remove the blower motor by removing the three hex screws that hold it in place. Remove the resistor by removing the three hex screws that hold it in place. 
The resistor is right against the firewall so two of the screws are very difficult to reach. A slender flexible socket extension will make the job easier. Attach the new resistor in place using the same hex screws. Only 1 or 2 of the original three are needed (the part is very light) if you do not feel like fighting with the ones next to the firewall.Reattach the blower motor and reconnect the hose. Plug the power cable wires back into the resistor and the wire from the resistor back into the blower motor.

its under your pass side dash but start with the resistor first put your blower motor on high and push around on your resistor under your glove box,if it will come on by moving it around its your resistor

do have any power on either wire going to the blower. the power runs from the fuse block through a relay, to the blower, to the resistor block and finally to the dash control. of you have power only on one side of the blower replace the blower. if you have no power at the blower replace the relay.

Hi Steve, you're so close to the answer already.
The feed wire is broken and sometimes it touches and sometimes not. It might just be the fitting on the end if you're lucky.
I'd replace the whole wire just to be sure ;)
