I have a 2004 Ford F150 Supercrew. I have this model radio (4L3T-18C815-AM) with a AUX button. However, there is no where to plug in to the aux input. There is an adapter (PIE FRD04-AUX) available but I don't want to use this method. I have removed the radio and would like to splice a RCA cable plug in to the wire harness. However, I do not have the wiring diagram to tell me what wire is what. Can you give me the wiring diagram for the 2 connectors(one is 24 pin and one is 16 pin) that plug into the back of the radio and the wiring diagram for 8 pin connector that is part of the same wiring harness. I also need the connector part numbers on the internal cable and on the connectors on the rear of the radio.
An easier method to creating an AUX imput which will be much cleaner and be easily removed is called an RF modulator. This will "T" into your antenna behind your dashboard. You will tune to a specified channel and you will recieve clean imput from whatever device that is plugged into your modulator. You will have to find antenna adapters but crutchfield.com can easily help you. My advice is to install this. You wont have to hack up your factory wiring and this setup is compatible with any vehicle just change the adapters. Good luck.

Time to see the dealer! Unless your wires are tagged, or you have the ford shop manual (not Haynes or Chilton)
Suggest you don't splice unless you are perfectly sure of what you are doing, you can burn out your radio and damge other components up to including the ECM, and you for sure don't want that. (Big Bucks)
If money allows, take it to a professional audio installer. They seem like magically endowed with wiring information.
Or you can try talking to the audio shop guys over a cold one. They are always very helpful and have the right info, especially the guys at the front desk, because they always think is too complicated for you to handle, so the will offer all of the technical know how, because you don't know, so the more complicated they make the more apt you are to take the installation to them. But if you are saavy, then you will be able to sort out what you need.
