Did you clear the code with a Scan Tool after replacing the valves?

The 1998-2001 Chevrolet Tahoe has a known issue with the air pump check valve which causes illumination of the check engine light. is your service soon light on when key is turned on?? if not main cluster problem.

Hi, the light will go off by itself once the fault is corrected. The light indicates the computer has detected a fault in the engine control system. Have you had the truck scanned at your local auto parts chain store? If not, please do that and send us the trouble code for further advice.

press the gas pedal on the floor and turn the key on then real fast mash the gas peal 3 times fast on the trird time hold it on the floor tell the oil light resets it self count to ten. should work just fine.

It has to be done with a code reader,the codes have to be erased,but it will come back on if the problem is still there,auto zone can do this for you for free.

most any sensor going bad can cause the check engine light to come on,try disconnecting the posative battery cable for 15 seconds ,then put it back on,will reset the codes, or take it to auto zone,they will test your computer for codes at no charge to you.i had a venture van my was ox. sensor. thanks robert b.

either needs gas or fuel pump needs to be replaced, very common with chevys.

That normally means that you have a issue with your gas cap try replacing your gas cap first then diconnect the negative terminal of the battery for about three minutes to clear the memory and start the truck again
