Both my key fobs have stopped working. They are only for the remote entry. I have changed the batteries on them both. I bought this vehicle brand new about a year and a half ago.
Sounds like the key fobs have screwed up _ they could need re-setting but l would call a dealer to find out more info

If the A6 layout for the modules is the same as my A4, the lock pump is in the rear corner of the car, on the passenger side. In the trunk, pull up the carpeting behind the passenger rear wheel, and tucked down in there is the pump assembly. They're known to go bad and it's a pretty likely cause for your problem, provided your fuses are not blown.

If the key had gone faulty, the key code must be re programmed on the vehicle computer. This can be done only using a PIWIS tool, available at the dealer or at a qualified Porche garage.
Try also the following reset:
turn ignition on,
turn off.
remove
the transponder from the column
push any button on the fob within 6
seconds.
This procedure will reset the key synchronizing again with the vehicle computer.

Seperate key fobs only can be programmed in the following way.
Turn ignition on/off 8 x times (allow all functions to stabilise) after the 9th on - press a button on both remote fobs. then turn ign. off. use good remote to lock and then try new remote to unlock/lock. sometimes it works first time - sometimes you have to repeat actions. good luck.
