The most likely culprit is the power steering box, there is a product available on eBay called leak fix that is designed for power steering systems, I used this on my 96 explorer that was leaking by the pitman arm from the steering box, that was 4 years ago & with 2 changes of fluid since it still hasn't leaked one drip

SOURCE: NEED WIRING DIAGRAM FOR 1997 EXPLORER POWER MIRROR

Two things to check. First, depending which is easier (check that one first) you need to see if you are getting power to the switch itself. If neither mirror works, then the switch is dead, or one of the wires going to the mirror is dead. That is the most likely. The second would be to check if you are getting power out of the fuse box going to the power mirror switch, that way you can help determine if its a wirring problem.

SOURCE: 1997 Ford Explorer Power Seat Wiring

There are several options. It all depends on how bad you want the leather seats. You could disassemble the seats and transfer the upholstery from one seat to the other, or you could transfer the motor mechanisms from one seat to the other. The leather seats are most likely equipped with seat heater elements...there is no way you are going to get them to work without redesigning half of the vehicle, so you can either leave the heating elements out when you transfer the upholstery or just leave their respective connectors disconnected.

Power steering not working, and put power steering fluid in car

Lets use common sense here

It leaks, you stop using the car & repair the leak

Most likely the steering rack is worn & needs to be replaced

That's what happens when you don't flush the fluid every
3 years or it leaks & runs low

Power steering fluid leaking and there is a whining noise along with a rattling sound on my 2000 Nissan Maxima.

Doesn't matter you have a leak

You should have stopped using it
when you first noticed the leak & had
it resolved, now you may need a new pump

Steering gear oil leak

I don't see how that could happen, without being in an accident

Of coarse,as soon as the rack leaks, you replace it

On a frame mounted steering box just the bottom seal leaks
& you have to remove & rebuild

If you have a damaged steering rack you have other possible
suspension damage

I would go to an alignment only shop, not some chain store
in the mall

Constantly adding power steering fluid

I guess that repair shop visit was a waste of your
time & money

Try another & hopefully somewhat competant shop

Hard to believe they could even do half a diagnoses
& half a repair & stay in business

Does a 1997 grand gt 3.1 liter have rack & pinion steering? I'm told the power steering went out and I don't know if it might be the pump or what.

Your car does have rack and pinion steering. If all of the fluid leaked out somewhere and you continued to drive, you probably have 2 problems to repair:

1. What ever started leaking (return hose, rack, pressure hose, or could just be the pump itself)
2. Power steering pump was damaged from lack of lubrication (fluid)

Power steering fluid leaking from 1997 Toyota Camry Do i need to replace a gasket or some major part?

If the leak is from the pump unit or steering rack, it will need to be replaced,
If the leak is from a connection hose or coupling it can likely be readily repaired or replaced.
