Blown head gasket in the waterport, and not oil port reason it comes out the exhaust. since it's not in the oil, then an easy possible fix, is (K&W block sealer ( usually available at most autoparts stores) or like block sealer), K&W works really well just make sure you follow the directions to a T. if you don't it will plug up the radiator and you'lll be in the same shape. after you have done the process with the sealer make sure you change the thermostat

Coolant reservoir empty in 2000 jaguar s type 4.0

If there is no obvious water leaks on the ground then the engine is burning the coolant. Watch the tail pipe to see if water drips from it. Pressure test the cooling system to see if it will hold pressure. If it won't then take out all the spark plugs to see which cylinder the coolant is leaking into and why.

88 thunderbird white smoke and water coming from tail pipe

Possibly a blown head gasket, letting coolant into the cylinders to be burned. White smoke is usually coolant burning. Have the engine's compression tested to verify.

My 98 firebird tail pipe blows white smoke and water out the tail pipe then as i let it sit for 30 minutes the engine gets hotter then gas like smile and heavier smoke come out the tail pipe it also s

One of the main causes of white exhaust smoke and coolant loss is a cracked or warped cylinder head, a cracked engine block, or head gasket failure caused by overheating. A cracked head may allow coolant to leak into one or more cylinders or into the combustion chamber of the engine. Dirty coolant, a poorly maintained cooling system, a low coolant level, or a non-functioning cooling fan can cause engine overheating. In addition, engine wear can eventually cause the gaskets to lose their capacity to seal properly allowing internal coolant loss. Intake manifold gasket and head gasket failures are two of the most common sources of internal coolant loss caused by engine wear.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Well i did the batt and the alt to now i have a los of coolant and now i have water form the tail pipe what is it

not a complete history in your brief 'sentence', but water from the exhaust is either condensation whick is normal, or you have a blown head gasket or worse (cracked head or block) which is going to be very expensive to fix. If it is not overheating too, you have nothing to worry about, if it is you need to get the car to someone who can do a compression test and cylinder and/or coolant leakdown test to determine the extent of the damage.

I have a 2000 grand am I replaced the head baskets car runs great but it still runs hot heater want work and it leaks water from tail pipe help

If you're getting water out of the tail pipe, you could have a head gasket that is leaking coolant into an exhaust port. When you replaced the head gaskets, did you properly clean the gasket mating surfaces of both the heads and the engine block? Did you check the heads for warpage? Did you check the block deck surface for any unevenness? Any of these areas could prevent a new gasket from properly sealing. Are you having to add coolant? Did you replace the thermostat? Did you make sure that the thermostat was properly positioned in the housing? It should go in with the coil spring side to the engine. Did you flush the cooling system and install fresh antifreeze?

I need to find a free complete diagram for a turbo charger off of a 1987 toyota pickup 22ret

22r-Te
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Drain the coolant.

CAUTION

When draining the coolant, keep in mind that cats and dogs are attracted by the ethylene glycol antifreeze, and are quite likely to drink any that is left in an uncovered container or in puddles on the ground. This will prove fatal in sufficient quantity. Always drain the coolant into a sealable container. Coolant should be reused unless it is contaminated or several years old.

  1. Disconnect the O2 sensor wire clamp and connector.
  2. Disconnect the Nos. 1 and 3 PCV hoses.

  1. Disconnect the Nos. 1 and 2 turbocharger water hoses.
  2. Loosen the clamp on the throttle body, remove the two nuts and lift off the air tube assembly.
  3. Remove the No. 1 air cleaner hose assembly and the No. 2 air cleaner hose.
  4. Remove the exhaust manifold and turbocharger heat insulators.
  5. Disconnect the No. 3 turbocharger water hose.
  6. Raise the truck and disconnect the exhaust pipe from the turbine outlet.
  7. Remove the turbocharger bracket stay.
  8. Disconnect the turbocharger oil pipe.
  9. Remove the turbocharger and exhaust manifold as an assembly.
  10. Remove the No. 2 turbocharger water pipe.
  11. Remove the oil pipe.
  12. Remove the No. 1 water pipe.
  13. Remove the turbine outlet elbow with the O2 sensor attached.
  14. Disconnect the turbocharger from the manifold.

To install:

  1. Pour approximately 20cc of new oil into the oil inlet and then turn the turbocharger impeller wheel so as to wet the bearing.
  2. Using a new gasket, attach the turbocharger to the manifold and tighten the nuts to 29 ft. lbs. (39 Nm).
  3. Install the turbine outlet elbow and tighten the nuts to 19 ft. lbs. (25 Nm).
  4. Install the No. 1 water pipe. Install the turbo oil pipe and tighten the nuts to 14 ft. lbs. (19 Nm).
  5. Install the No. 2 water pipe and then mount the assembly to the cylinder head.
  6. Install the oil pipe and tighten the union bolt to 20 ft. lbs. (27 Nm). Tighten the nuts to 14 ft. lbs. (19 Nm).
  7. Install the turbocharger bracket stay.
  8. Connect the exhaust pipe to the turbine outlet elbow and tighten the nuts to 32 ft. lbs. (43 Nm). Lower the truck.
  9. Connect the No. 3 water hose and install the heat insulators.
  10. Install the No. 2 air cleaner hose with the arrow facing the turbocharger and fasten the clip as shown.
  11. Install the air tube assembly. Connect the O2 sensor and clamp.
  12. Refill the engine with coolant, start it and check for leaks.

Leaking oil put of tail pipe, is the cooling sensor important, head gasket blown how do you know

Never seen oil come from tail pipe (unless a piston has a broken ring or a hole burned in it.) Cooling sensor tells the computer the engine temp and the computer turns the fan on through the fan relay. Very important for it to work. A blown head gasket will make the engine overheat, can cause white smoke from tailpipe, coolant loss and extremely rough running. Also can cause coolant in engine oil or oil in radiator. What you may be seeing may be water mixed with carbon from the inside of the pipe. Excessive water coming form pipe is also a head gasket symptom. A compression test or cylinder leakdown test or a radiator hydrocarbon test will tell you if gasket has failed.

White smoke exhaust

White smoke is caused by coolant or water coming out the tail pipe. There is a chance that the white smoke was caused by water splashing up from a puddle onto the exhaust pipe. Keep an eye on the coolant level in the radiator in any event. If its less then there leak coolant leak in the car engine which is causing this problem....
