Left 2 vents blow warm/hot air when air conditioner is on and calling for cold air. right 2 vents blow cold air.
Usually a sign of a faulty blend door under the dash.
The blend doors direct air thru the ac and heater core along with the upper and lower vents.
From what I understand it's a common problem with the Chevrolet trucks. I was having the same issue with my 2004 Silverado. The switching mechanism on mine was right over the transmission hump just a bit to the left under the dash. If you are handy you can take that part off and clean the grease buildup from the contacts and the strips they touch with rubbing alcohol. I did that and put it back in place- works like a charm and it's been over a year now.
Update: I installed a switch that would turn the actuator off without turning off the truck and this worked until recently (end of 2017). Eventually it didn't matter how many times it was reset, it would blow scorching hot on the driver's side vents. Went online and found an actuator for only $29 with shipping. Replaced it today and the system works exactly as it should! A 30 minute task involving 6 screws. On a side note- you can remove the actuator and turn the baffle to cold with your fingers, but you won't get ANY heat. That central actuator controls the entire heat/cool system. It has a microchip in it and I'm pretty sure once that goes it needs to be replaced.

SOURCE: Heat wont blow through heater or defroster vents
common problem, check under dash by the gas pedal if control arms are muving went selecting from ac to heat cuz this it is the control for the vents to go from ac to heat and to defrost.
SOURCE: no air coming out of the vents
It sounds like the heater motor may not be operating. When you switch the heater fan on can you hear the motor running? If not then it may have blown the heater fan fuse, check the fuse's and then try it again. If the fuse is ok then it could be a faulty switch or fan motor.
Testimonial: "Thank you so much. I appreciate the response."
SOURCE: pasenger vents blow warm air while driver side blows cold when ac
Check and replace the right side temp-controller.
SOURCE: Heat wont blow through heater or defroster vents
The door in the heater box is most likely stuck. It is located under the dash on the passenger side
