Engine overheating could be caused by low coolant level or too much water in the cooling system should have 50/50 antifreeze and water mixture in the cooling system.before i rule out head gasket blowed, replace thermostat and radiator pressure cap.if you have a blowed head gasket car will smoke white heavy smoke all the time, and the engine will overheat.check engine oil if look like milk shake head gasket blowed and check coolant for oil residue in which coolant have like rain colors in it.
You my have thick smoke coming out of your tail pipe or oil leaking out on to your engine
Testimonial: "none of this so it helps with the elimination process. thank you"
my car started running hot, I think I heard a pop, then the car shut off. I let it sit for a minute then it started and I had to keep my foot on the gas or else it shut off again. Then it started making a ratteling sound and white smoke coming from under the engine.
there is nothing leaking and my oil level was very low so I added oil. the car starts fine now but the temperature gauge still goes up to hot and the heater blows cold air.
then that means you have oil over flow in your spark plugs
ok thank you so much!
