SOURCE: I have a code p0452 low fuel tank pressure. Is the

yes the pressure sensor in mounted in a rubber grommet on the top of the fuel tank. it could be the sensor but the only way to know for sure is have the dealer do a evaporative emissions fuel tank pressure test, they have the special tools to do this, outside shops do not. Have u tried a new gas cap, they can leak and cause the problem, in fact that is very common.

SOURCE: gas gauge reads empty but tank acts like it's full

I also have a 04 with a 1.8L. same problem. I took the fuel regulator off. It is a black box behind the rear tire under car. It only has 2 bolts to take off. After that there is a couple of vent hoses from the tank going to this box. Unplug them and 1 electrical connection. The electrical connection and one vent is connected to a T connection on the box that you can unplug by twisting on the T. Take that T off and look inside where you unplugged the hose on this T. There is a spring and a little plunger inside this tube. The plunger gets stuck. I took a little screw driver and some PB blaster and worked that plunger back and forth a couple dozen times and it unfroze. Put it back together gassed up just fine. I did not look but I was told regulator can be replaced for 200$. But a can of blaster is cheaper.

Code p0446 and po452 installed new fuel pump and replaced a pressure sensor already. Also replaced the solenoid but I'm still getting the p0452

The most common causes for a P0452 include:
  • Loose fuel gap
  • Faulty fuel tank pressure sensor
  • Faulty wiring for the fuel tank pressure sensor
  • Faulty purge control solenoid
  • Clogged or damaged charcoal canister
  • Vacuum leak

What can cause a vehicle to act like I'm braking in the middle of accelerating?

you should have your fuel pump pressure tested. your pump may not be holding pressure and loses power while driving also when its parked the fuel may be leaking back into the tank. whoever told you your cats were bad got you for some money.

1998 dodge stratus stalls while driving if gas tank is half empty

You need to check fuel pressure carefully. This happens when tank is so full of dirt that the pump screen gets clogged. After sitting down several minutes, some of the dirt settles and the car can be restarted, but happens again. Refrain from starting to change every sensor without knowing what is the real cause, because you could be thowing money and not fixing it. Aldo check pressure regulator is functioning correctly. 1998 suzuki baleno 1.6 stalling

most cars, with too low fuel in tank will stall.
the pump sucks air in the tank , the pressure drops to zero
and the EFI now injectos , yes, AIR.
cars dont run on AIR. only.
the tank pump is fuel lubricated and fuel cooled.
so you are killing the pump.
and inviting lots of rust to form on the the top of the tank.

these are all facts. now you can deal with full delt hand.

Car 1997 Subaru outback impreza died while driving. It has new spark plugs and wires, a new throttle position sensor, it is in need of an oil change but it's not horrible and it has a full tank of gas....

Try to start it with starting fluid. If it will run on it, then you will need to focus on what controls fuel delivery/timing... Pressure regulator, injectors. (was the filter replaced with the pump) MAF could be a factor. If starting fluid won't help, then you want to focus on the crank sensor as a possible culprit.

Have 2000 pontiac sunfire runs fine as long as gas guage reads full as soon as it drops between full and 3\4 starts to run rough when accelorating or drive along acts like it wants to run of gas the

I have seen this kind of problem before. You will have to get access to the fuel pump. Some cars have an access under the rear seat. Most don't, so you will have to lower/remove the fuel tank and the locking ring on the tank that secures the fuel pump/sending unit. You may see obvious signs of a problem, like a hose loose, but i recommend that you replace the fuel pump/sending unit even if you don't see a problem.
