We hooked it to a friends diagnostic computer and it originally showed two codes. A PO455 which said evap system large leak and a PO328 code which is the knock sensor. Today we hooked it up again to show another friend and it threw a Cylinder 4 misfire code. We checked the spark plugs and they all seemed fine. What could be causing this? Why didn't the cylinder 4 misfire code appear yesterday and only today. Could the evap leak be causing the misfire code or vise versa. I don't even know where to start.
I doubt the EVAP problem is causing the rough running. The knock sensor code means the knock sensor noted a severe vibration. The cylinder 4 code could mean the miss has become bad enough to trigger a code for one cylinder.
I would look at the injectors and for a vac leak. And the spark plugs can be firing in air but not inside the cylinders under pressure.

you have a vacuum line broken somewhere...my 98 did the same thing.

Check vacuum lines going to evap canister for cracks or splits, causes to much raw air intake.

im a tech in the bronx and i dealt with the same code for the misfire. burt i realized that there wasnt any power to the coil of #2 cylinder. I replaced the sensor mounted on top of the air filter box, which solved this problem.

theres a possibility that the #2 fuel injector is clogged up. go to any auto parts store and tell them your problem, they should have a fix. unless the injector is bad. good-day!! are you sure #2 wire is ok! You probably need to clean out the MAF/sensor as well as throw in some injector cleaner.
