How do I fix Chevrolet Impala 2006, 3.5L engine, that is getting the error code B0238?

gives three possible reasons for the fault

have to check each .........one by one

Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off

3.5l. What are the probable causes of DTC P0011?

According to the error code list (see the link below) it is an over advanced cam shaft timing. It well may be a mechanical fault as opposed to an electrical fault. Read about it here:

code p2070 refers to intake manifold air control actuator--actuator stuck open or refers to intake manifold air control solenoid --solenoid stuck open=== causes ---wiring---intake manifold air control actuator---mechanical fault OR---wiring---intake manifold air control solenoid---mechanical fault.

I have 3 codes on my 08 impala; P0455 P0521 P1174

The 455 and 1174 are probably related to the same issue---emissions and air to fuel mixture which could be a purge valve for the evap. system and the 521 is usually a bad oil pressure sensor.

There is no magic bullet fix for this, you can have a leak you can't see or a defective fuel tank pressure sensor or a defective vacuum line, the list goes on.

do you smell gas? evap canister. check vacuum lines from evap or purge valve. do not reverse lines. or it could be nothing use obd 2 tool and clear code and see if it comes back..

I have a 2001 impala , the security light flashes and vehicle will not start , is the a fuse or breaker i can buy to fix this , it seems to be getting worse

The fault is in the key tumbler. If you checked for codes the code would indicate the key was not reconized. This usually is because the tumbler is getting warn out. One day it will not start at all. Get it fixed before you end up stranded.

Hi there:
There is a vent solenoid in the back left (drivers) side on the inside of the fender by the filler tube where the gas goes to the tank. Just replace it on Chevy cars for this code, it's called an Canister Vent Solenoid or EVAP Vent Solenoid.

Usually this is a bad vent solenoid or a broken wire going to it; You would need a lift. The vent solenoid is near the evap canister which is tucked up into the body by the gas tank. I dont' think you can even see the wires without pulling the canister down...
