Check engine light "reduced enging power" message?

2003 Tahoe 92000 miles no previous check engine lights in past. Last nite light came on and message on instrument panel read "reduced engine power". This morning the message is gone but check engine light is still on. Wasnt sure if the light is just a reminder to change timing belt or have some regular maintenance performed. any ideas?

I have the same problem.  I have not been able to find a solution.  The truck will run fine 400-500 miles and then it happens again.
