I was just rear-ended, hit and run. Not fast enough to do body damage, but ...my key won't come out of the ignition. I've tried turning the wheel for wheel lock and the key still won't come out.
Is there a microswitch in the gear selector that allows the key to be reomved that could be at fault?

now theres carfax but if u go online and check for recall notices or service teck bulletins these tell u if and what problems exist with a vehicle but that doesent always mean that previous owner ever took care of the problem

Did the airbag deploy? I had the same issue with my 1995 Chrysler when it was struck head-on and the airbags deployed. I think it is a feature to make sure that repairs are made correctly.
If you had it repaired, take it back to the repair shop.
