SOURCE: front blower motor on 2002 dodge grand caravan

it's the blower motor resistor , it's behind the glove compartment, just make sure you disconect the neg. for battery first, open the glove comp. and pull the rubber stops towars the center so you can let the glove comp. hang all the way to the floor , the resistor it's in front of you, disconect the two conectors there's one big with 6 0r 8 wires coming out and another with only two, take them out by pressing on the side of each one, remove it , put the new one on , conect the battery and your done. it's about $ 13.00 at o'riellys auto parts .

I hope this fix yor problem.

SOURCE: how to change front blower motor in a 2003 dodge

Removal & Installation
CAUTION The Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) system must be disarmed before removing the blower motor assembly. Failure to do so may cause accidental deployment of the air bag, resulting in unnecessary SIR system repairs and/or personal injury.

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable, then wait 2 minutes before proceeding with the removal. This will effectively disable the air bag system preventing possible personal injury.
  2. Remove the glove box from the instrument panel

The blower motor is located behind the glovebox, behind the blower motor cover

  1. Remove the A/C-heater blower motor cover.
  2. Disconnect the blower motor wiring connector.
  3. Remove the blower motor wiring grommet and feed the wiring through the blower motor housing.
  4. Remove the blower motor mounting screws.

Once the cover is removed, unplug the electrical connector and push it through the opening in the housing

  1. Allow the blower motor assembly to drop downward to clear the instrument panel and remove from vehicle.
To install:
  1. Place the blower motor assembly into position on the A/C-heater unit and tighten the mounting screws.
  2. Route the blower motor wiring through the blower motor housing and seat the wiring grommet in the hole of the blower motor housing.
  3. Reconnect the blower motor electrical connector.
  4. Install the A/C-heater blower motor cover.
  5. Install the glove box into the instrument panel.
  6. Reconnect the negative battery cable. Check blower motor operation.

SOURCE: Heater blower motor replacement -1997 Dodge Grand Caravan

Remove the cover plate on the passenger side of the heater box, 3-4 screws.
Unplug the motor assembly, remove 3-4 more screws that hold the motor in place and pull it down from its position. Get an aftermarket motor and installed it in the original housing with the original squirrel cage.
Installation is the reverse of removal.

How to test the heater fan switch 2005 dodge caravan

On a Chrysler product, the blower switch and resistor provides the ground circuit for the blower motor.
The highest speed circuit which is dark blue and gray goes thru the resistor directly to the fan switch. The other speeds go thru the resistor to slow down the motor.
One wire from the switch should be a direct to ground, the other 5 wires should have voltage coming from the blower motor thru the resistor.
