battery neg lug off.
gain access to the starter. (even car on jack stands if need be, humans come in DIFF, sizes. so...)
remove wires to starter.
unbolt starter
duck as it just misses you.
reverse above.

did you know the FSM book on car stated almost the same thing>?

one of the hardest starters to remove
only held on by two bolts but not enough room to remove it
without taking a lot of parts off

will be best to buy a 2006-2014 vitara repair manual

see if the exhaust manifold removal makes it possible
or the engine mount bracket
