I was replacing the radio and now the keyfob will not work unless the car is turned on. Also, the radio now has no power no matter what. I even put the old radio back and it will not work. I also notice the inside lights will not go on. Any insights on if I possibly blew a fuse or something else?
Shorted wires behind the radio, most likely the wire for the radio memory.
That is what I was thinking. I pulled out all of the new wiring so all of the wiring is now using the original wiring harnesses. I was hoping that would fix the issue but to no avail. Is there something that could just be stopping the flow of electricity or a fuse that would blow when the short occurred? Thanks for the help!
look in the fuse panel on left side of dash for a blown fuse, as long as there are no shorts or bad wiring behind the radio replacing the fuse should fix the issue, if you change out the radio it is best to get the harness that fits the original in the dash.
Crud. None of them look blown. I am gathering I should not touch the big black ones that you cannot see? Other than that, none of the fuses on the diagram seem to control the radio. It only looks like fuses 32and 34, which are the big fuses with no indicators on them. Must go look again at the fuses
use a test light or meter to make sure there is power on both sides of the fuses, they don'e always look blown
Found the issue. It was fuse 34 but on the inside fuse panel. I only knew of the one under he hood. Once I found that fuse panel I was able to replace the fuse and all is working. Thanks for all the help!
So, you were right with the correct fuse panel. I did not know that existed until I found the owners manual and it showed me how to get into it.
that is great news, i am glad all is working again.

SOURCE: Neither turn signals work on jeep liberty 2006 sport
Signals are now controlled by a module on the right side of the steering column under the dash. Before doing anything yourself, bring it to the attention of the guys that did the rear...This problem can happen at any time but they may have disconnected a harness or ground while working, so give them a chance first to correct it.
SOURCE: My 2002 Jeep Liberty had to have the wiring
I can't help with your Jeep but I have had a rash of similarly unrelated problems due to a bad or missing ground connection. When this happens (due to corrosion or repair by 'experts') currents flow wherever they must to complete an electrical path. These can be maddening and very tough to find unless the electrical diagrams have clear and very detailed markings that include the actual physical location of points at which several devices are collectively grounded to the chassis.

THEFT system is armed; check the disarm procedure in your Owners Manual.
If this isnt solve it, could be that you need to re-synch your antitheft security module.
Hope this helps. Your feedback is important and I'll appreciate
